Just... wow. Blown away.
This is the largest purchase (electronic) I have ever made in my life. I regret NOTHING.Just upgraded from my 4kHDR LG 49 inch. I didn't expect a MAJOR difference in the picture quality. Boy was i wrong.I tried PS4PRO and my god.... literally. GOD of War looks breathtaking in HDR. The Game mode 120HZ... pshhhhh motion blur? yeah right. non existent. The colors are so crystal clear. I was trying to take 4k Pictures to show a few people the TV, but it does it no justice. I told them, Go to Magnolia in BestBuy and look at the LG C8/B8 and you will understand. Still images of this TV do it absolutely no justice. Was not aware of the "DOLBY VISION" option or even what it was that came with this TV. Look up Dolby Vision on your favorite search engine you will learn that it is the better successor? of HDR10. The look of NETFLIX shows with Dolby Vision is by far the best picture i have ever seen in my whole life. The blacks are so deep, and the Dolby Vision on these shows makes each scene its own. It is truly breathtaking. The TV came to me in its original packaging, very secure, with no issues at all. it still had the plastic film on the TV. Not sure how this is a refurbished TV, but visually, and physically there is nothing wrong with this TV. The magic remote is a pleasure to work with (change setting to slow movement so the cursor does not move like wild on the screen) The only issue i have with the remote is that it does not control my Vizio 5.1 soundbar. Not a big deal, but my other LG remote, did this out of the box. (oh and this tv has Dolby Atmos 7.1 built in) Oh and the remote didn't come with batteries. Big whoop.Everything is so crisp. The menus are quick and easy to navigate, the apps open quickly, and load quickly. WebOS is by far the most user friendly smart TV platform out there (have tried Samsung/Vizio/Sony). Updated WebOS and APPS out of the box and had no hitches or issues. The TV base is well made, and easy to setup. I have a 49 inch TV stand, and it hangs about 1 inch from each side. Not an issue. The Aluminum body of the TV is sleek and makes this look like it is on another level of quality. The TV, no lie, is about this thick --->||||||<--- yes, that thick. The base (where components are housed) is a little bit thicker, but main parts of the TV are super thin.Side note - The UPS driver (who arrived at 930am, with a confirmed 130pm-330pm delivery window was AWESOME) I opened the door and he said "Soooooo, my man, youuuuuu waiting on a tv" I said "OH BOY am I" This Tv Came from TX to NY without any damage/scuffs, in about 36 hours total time. That prime 2 day is worth its weight in gold.Overall, i would give this TV a 9.8/10. Easily the best TV I have ever owned. Right now, on the market the C8/B8 series, is in a class of its own. Nothing touches the picture quality build quality, and Overall aesthetics of this TV. And for what? 1145$? Get outta here. you wont touch that price point by a long shot. RTINGS(dot)com rated this TV the best TV of 2017, and the B8 the best TV of 2018. They are not lying.EDIT - So, You want to see the true potential of the TV? Open up the DOLBY app on it. and run one of the demos. I have a VIZIO 5.1 soundbar and with the soundbar on AND the TV atmos enabled, holy crap. Will update when i find out more neat tricks.EDIT#2 - So i feel like i STOLE this tv. $1145 for this tv is a Friggin STEAL. holy crap. I cant watch regular LCD tv's anymore. its been over a week, and this tv is by far the best thing that is out right now. If you are considering buying this, but at a higher price, (1600$+) do it. its worth it. WELL WORTH it below 2000$

A few notes about connectivity
As other reviewers have noted, this TV has a great picture at an excellent price point. The price to performance ratio could not be better. BUT, I want to add a note about connectivity. Wi-Fi reception on this model leaves a lot to be desired unless you adjust several settings (can find doing a google search), and even then it does not always automatically connect to a wifi network. Using an ethernet connection is a partial fix, but note that ethernet speed on this TV is limited to 100 mbps. It is still a great TV, but connectivity can be frustrating.

Find another TV. Avoid extended warranty.
A very bright clear picture initially, but very soon after the warranty expiration, I noticed there was picture burn-in, which has only continued to worsen. The cost for repair was over $1300. I purchased a four square(?) warranty only to find it EXLUDED picture burn in. Very disappointing!

Updated - Premium TV fails after just over 12 months.
The TV has been good up until recently this splotch has appeared on my screen. After an hour on the phone with Square Trade (the additional Warranty I purchased through Amazon) they called it “burn in” and said it’s not covered. I’ve barely had the tv for longer than 12 months and this should NOT be happening on a $1200+ TV. After some additional research this issue seems to occur far more often than you might think and seems to happen at around the same time.DO NOT BUY THE EXTRA WARRANTY, I sent them the same attached pictures and they refuse to help or cover it.Edit:I’m adding the extra star because LG finally came through after a lot of pestering on my part. But Allstate “warranty” they sell on here is a scam.LG fully paid and covered to have professional installers come to my home (I was too far from their centre) and they replaced the entire screen in 10 minutes, including all The dismounting and mounting of the tv.The TV is still fantastic and has since otherwise still maintained that flawless look.

Audio sync problems?
It looks really great. The image is on point. The audio sync is messed up. It's random too. There's a sync option but it's a pain in the a** to get it synced, I gave up and just deal with it. But like right now, I'm watching prime video through my Xbox one x HDMI connected and the audio is connected to an Onkyo receiver via tos link. And the sync is fine. I didn't do anything. But other days, it's not. This type of thing is hard to troubleshoot what is the actual problem but it only started happening when I got this TV and the Xbox one x.

Superb picture. Solid Dolby Atmos sound. Excellent price.
This is a refurbished item (hence a price that is about half the typical "new" price), but ours came in original packaging with no signs of prior use. We have mounted in on a wall using the OTW420B EZ Slim Wall Mount and a Wiremold CMK70 Flat Screen TV Cord and Cable Power Kit (total about 100 bucks) for a clean setup. It's being driven by an AppleTV (we don't use cable TV nor over-the-air broadcast TV; only iTunes and Amazon Prime at this time) running a beta of tvOS 12, which supports Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos.Talking about Dolby Atmos, this unit is OLED55B7P, which is different from the more prevalent OLED55B7A: The latter does not have an integrated Dolby Atmos audio system, where the former (this unit) does. That's a nice little extra for this unit. Don't expect top-of-the-line boom-capable sound: These are just relatively small in-television speakers after all. However, given the physical limitations of the system, it's quite solid. The picture quality seems as good as any panel I've ever seen (I say "seems" because I haven't seen a side-to-side comparison with the 2018 panels, but then again, we don't watch things "side-to-side"). If you come from an LCD panel, I think you'll be quite pleased (even the luminosity — something LCD can do better — is decent here; we run it at 50% but it's not a particularly brightly lit room).
