This seemed to be the only thing that helped my sons dry cough. And I like that he could take it as often as needed because there’s no harmful medication in it. There’s not a lot of doses in a bottle, but I’m glad it helped. The taste is not too bad but not exactly delicious, Even though it has honey in it

I was somewhat skeptical about this natural cough syrup although I hoped it would work. I was pleasantly surprised. Within just a few minutes of taking a teaspoon full, I felt a definite relaxing in my chest area. What caused it I don't know - but there was no other change around that time. I am getting over a bad cough so don't know how it would have helped when I was at the beginning of this cold but it was a very pleasant helper now.The taste is almost unusual - honey and cinnamon kind of.. I expected a super sweet honey thickened taste. Not so - barely any taste at all and what there is is pleasant. If the children's syrup is like this I can see my grandson liking it.I would make one suggestion. Have something handy to wipe around the bottle after pouring. After shaking well, this is very liquidy and may drip down the bottle. I like keeping things like this close to my bed at night but don't like to encourage pesky bugs that might discover it's sweetness.I am adding this revision. I have been taking this as a preventative with Sambucol Cold And Flu.

I had the worst flu and a horrible cough where i had to sleep sitting up on the couch for three days. Regular cough syrup and nyquil etc were doing almost nothing. I found the kids version of this at walmart and bought it and it immediately made a difference. I still was coughing but less! And i feel like i started feeing better as well, so whats in it maybe does help your immune system. Funky taste but not awful. Like spices and oils and honey. This is the regular kind but both work for adults! Totally worth it if you have a bad cough. Glad i tried it!

I used Matys for the first time a few weeks ago when both my boys age 7 and 2 were sick and coughing all the time. This calmed the cough and they were able to get some sleep. Neither woke with a coughing fit all night. The taste is great too. Neither complained! This is my new go to cough syrup!

He did not like this product at all and spit up the medicine every time given to him.

I'm the kind of person who likes to wait out my sinus infections. Maybe a neti pot session here and there. I was losing the battle with a sinus infection and I had been sick for a few weeks. I was getting weaker, felt terrible the whole time. I had a friend at work tell me about Maty's. Immediately after work I stopped at a CVS and bought some. Started sipping it :-) by the next day I was feeling better. There wasn't as much pressure behind my eyes. By the end of the day and then into day 2 it was a miraculous improvement. I was feeling so much better I hadn't realized how sick I had been. Thank you Maty's. I've ordered extra online to keep in the house and give some to friends who have been sick or for their kids!

I bought this hoping it would be better than the traditional cough medicines that my kids despise the taste of. However, this stuff tastes horrible!!!! My kid actually spit it out. I tried it and almost gagged. Promptly threw the full bottle away. It may help with coughs, but we will never find out because we can’t even even swallow the stuff!
