Wild Republic Artist Collection, Dinosaur Spinosaurus, Gift for Kids, 15 inches, Plush Toy, Fill is Spun Recycled Water Bottles

I brought this as a Christmas gift for my grandson, who is a huge dinosaur fan. It's a realistic stuffed dinosaur. The color are vibrant and the is material soft. I think it will be a big hit.

Spinosaurus figures and plushies have been hit and miss with the vast majority still following the Jurassic Park 3/early 2000's body plan. So I was pleasantly surprised that Wild Republic Spinosaurus is relatively on model for current projections of the species.Its low hanging posture, short backlegs and long arms give it an almost (but not quite) quadrupedal feel and long thick tail makes it stand out amongst other Theropod plushies and while I would have liked it to be a tad bit longer, that is a small nitpick. Compared to other Spinosaurus plushes I've gotten such as Fiesta's one, its jaws is more firm and doesn't feel nearly as for lack of a better word, "derpy" in comparison and its eyes and head feel on model as opposed to staring widely off into space. The pattering and coloring on the plush is quite vivid too compared to the blacks and browns of other plushies.Overall I'd say its great for both the kid who loves Dinosaurs and those who want some good quality and (relatively in Spinosaurus's case) up to date and on model Dinosaur plushes and pairs great with other Wild Republic plushes, such as their collaborative Sue the T-Rex I got from the Chicago Field Museum.
