Shakespeare Medium Heavy Action Alpha Bigwater Spin Combo

Cheap rod, but performs great. I bought a couple of these as I was just starting surf-fishing. I didn't want to invest a large amount of money until I kept it up as a hobby. These rods are excellent for starters or for casual use. It's not the best rod out there (obviously as you can tell by the price difference), but it's a great value at such a low price, and the rods are great quality.

Reed is good but Rod Guides showing photos in amazon are not what brings the rod and I buy it I wanted the Rod Guides solid and not so

I had recently broke my salmon rod and needed a quick cheap replacement halfway through the season, and this rod/reel combo seemed worth the risk for the price. I did not use the reel, I replaced the one that came with the rod with a better reel that I already owned. The rod worked out perfectly...I hooked up many times and it seemed to play the big fish just fine. The rod is a bit rigid, and not sure how it will hold up against 36+ pounders, but did the job well.

When I bought this rod I was looking for a catfish rod for some major cat fishing. I looked for hours on amazon then I stumbled onto this epic combo. I was a little afraid of the quality but the quality is the best. The rod is just awesome. The reel reels in nice and smooth. Together the rod and reel are god and catch catfish like kings. After I got this rod and used it I caught twice the catfish I was before. I Highly recommend this to any fisherman looking for the perfect catfish rod.

Good combo for newbies, the rod is really good worth the price, the reel is not so but for that price the combo itself is good.

This is just a great rod. I am amazed how light , but still sturdy this stick is. Thank you.
