Brilliant. IGNORE the negative reviews!!!!
All I can say is Brilliant!!!!I read lots of reviews on the Clevascoop and was not put off by the negative ones (and don't you be put off by them), which if you use a little bit of common sense you can work out the measure accurately in the scoop. I knew that I needed 28.2g of aptamil, so I used my scales and set the Clevascoop to 6 scoops and it did under measure, but I just set it to 7 scoops and everytime I weighed it, it contained between 28g and 29g. So a perfect feed everytime.Other comments on how it is difficult to store.... It makes your life easier and quicker a small scoop for storage, don't worry. The scoop getting a residue of milk on it....... Naturally the steam from the bottles makes the powder stick to the scoop, but you just clean it after making your milks. This happens with the scoops provided with the powder, so what's the difference? I just had to clean the free scoops much more often when making the bottles. Also it has been commented about it being difficult to get the powder out of the box when it's nearly empty..... Of course this will be the case. You are using a larger scoop, so you won't be able to get the bottom powder out, but I had this problem with the scoop provided too. You just open a new milk and empty the last bit of milk from the empty one into the new one, then you don't have to try and get that last bit.Overall, I cannot rate this product highly enough. I am a Dad and I make 7 feeds every night and have found that this will make the feeds much quicker and no more constant cleaning of the scoops provided with the milk to make sure that I'm not under feeding.

A simple, clever little device that will save you precious minutes and make your life that little bit easier.
A simple, clever little device that will save you precious minutes and make your life that little bit easier.Pros:1. Making formula bottles is slightly quicker2. Eliminates the need for keeping count of scoopsYou might not see the need for this, surely it wouldn't be too hard to measure out a few scoops of formula without losing count. Wrong! When you're as sleep deprived and distracted as you inevitably will be in that first year of having a baby, you will temporarily lose your entire mind, let alone the number of scoops you have already put in to the bottle (sometimes forcing you to throw away a bottle and restart the whole process). This measurer just saves you that hassle and makes the process slightly quicker (the time saved certainly adds up if you have to make a few bottles each day). The painted numbers did wear off after a while, but that's fine as you can still see the raised marks of each number. In conclusion, yes you can easily live without it, but it makes your life that little bit easier and so is 100% worth it in my opinion .

Cleva scoop; not-so-cleva funnel
The scoop itself works as advertised, in that you can measure the number of oz you need in one go. It was slightly fiddly to work out the first time I set the scoop to the desired number of oz, and I was initially confused by the two green inserts (it turns out the smaller one is for 5oz or less, and the larger for 6oz or more). The major design flaw is with the funnel. It's terrible! It's not deep enough, which means that not only does the powder not easily fall through the hole (you have to repeatedly tap it) but - and here's the most annoying part - it's too small for the amount of powder you need if you're using 4oz or more! You turn the scoop upside down, the powder falls out (think sand castles on the beach), and you end up with powder all over your work surface. This is bearing in mind I'm only currently on 4oz; there is NO WAY the funnel will be adequate when I've moved to 5oz or more!I can't understand how this wasn't picked up during the testing phase; it would be such a simple problem to fix.I have therefore had to order a separate standard funnel and recommend that you do the same if you purchase this product.

Not Very Cleva!! PLEASE READ
I had high expectations of this. No more 1 spoon, 2 spoon, 3 spoon, more....However, to be sure I was measuring the right amount of formula (I am a bit of an obsessive geek!) I wanted to make sure that the Clevamama scoop and the correct number of Aptamil spoons measured out to be approximately the same. This was not the case - and I found the result to be quite worrying!4 scoops of Aptamil comes in 18g on my nutritional scales. I haven't used the precise scales as I just wanted to be sure it was about the same amount so the nearest (g) is fine. Aptamil states that each scoop should be 4.5g, so 4 x 4.5 g = 18g. Good enough for me!The Clevamama website claimed that this was fully tested/compatible with Aptamil First Milk, so I set the scoop up at number 4 on the dial, scooped away, leveled off and re-weighed. I did this several times all with the same result - 16g (sometimes 15g).For arguments sake we'll call this a 10% difference. That is, with the Clevamama scoop that claims to works with most major types of formula milk my baby would in fact receive 10% less nutrition than I would be expecting in each feed.Personally I do not find this difference acceptable and I will be complaining directly to Clevamama as I'm sure there are many people who have bought this in good faith and are not mixing the right ratio of formula to water and possibly risking the growth and nutrition of their young babies. I certainly won't be using this. I won't give it to charity and pass this on to someone else. I will simply dispose of it.I now use Tommee Tippee milk powder dispenser pots to measure out my scoops in advance when I'm awake so I can just add one pot instead of trying to count in the middle of the night - though I guess any sterile pot would do to pre-count formula scoops.
