Nice cheap bedroom gaming monitor TV.
Ok, its cheap, you probably wouldn't buy it as your primary TV, you get what you pay for. It gave the impression it has a LAN(network) connection and even shows the port in the manual. It doesn't.Not a problem as it didn't say it was a smart TV so what would you use network for.As for the the power lead, its European two pin, cut it off and put a UK plug on it. Electronic kit these days can accept 100-240v so manufacturers don't have to make kit for a specific markets. It says this on the lable right next to the power in. So guys, if you sent it back because it didn't have a UK plug how daft do you feel?Having said that I thought retailers were obliged by law to provide a UK plug or adapter to allow you to plug it in safely (any comment Amazon)Suprisingly the TV has Free Sat (through a dish rather than the ariel) 2 x HDMI, USB and Component in.Nice picture great price and fine for the PS4 it will be used for.I Would have given it 5 stars if it had a UK plug on it.

No audio output connections
I have been looking for a new TV for nearly two years, and it seems to me that the manufacturers and vendors conspire to make choosing one as difficult as possible. There's too much choice, the way that specifications are presented differs too much, and specifications are usually incomplete and often inacurate. But finally I simplified the decision process by deciding not to go for a smart TV. I think a separate media box will suit me better; There are plenty to choose from but I will probably build my own. So I just wanted a simple, basic, but good quality TV.This TV seemed to fit the bill. It only has two HDMI inputs, but it has component input which is perfect for a DVD player, so I still have one HDMI for my Humax box and one for a media box.The LG has a USB play and record feature, which is a nice bonus but actually turns out to be pretty useless. Like all embedded media players, it's really too basic to be usable. It did at least recognise the 1Tb drive that I keep my film library on, but it could only play some of my films. Even those that it could play, it couldn't scale nicely so the quality was far worse than watching on a 15" computer. I didn't get to try the record feature.Yes, this model comes with a European plug, but that really isn't a problem. Just cut the plug off and fit a UK one, or buy a new cable. Just search for a "figure of 8 mains cable", they are everywhere and very cheap. I have several lying around from old stereos and Sky boxes, so it was a non-issue for me.Another nice bonus with this TV is that it has both aerial and satellite connections, so you can use both Freeview and Freesat. Switching between them is a bit fiddly as you have to go to the Settings menu to switch between aerial and satellite mode, but it's a handy feature to have. The EPG's are very basic, nowhere near as nice as something like a Humax box. There were two negative points for me. First and most important, there are no audio output connections of any description. Not even a headphone jack. That was the deal-breaker for me, and I returned the set because of this. I can't imagine what LG are thinking of producing a TV with no audio outputs. It must be about 30 years since I first connected a TV to a stereo and I'm not going back to internal speakers now!The second, more minor but still annoying negative is that sometimes the TV does not respond to the remote for a while, perhaps up to ten seconds or so. Then it will come back to life and process all of the button presses that it previously ignored. I could probably learn to live with that, but one of the reasons I decided on a non-smart TV was that I didn't want to deal with this kind of nonsense.I have never returned anything before but this TV was completely unusable for me because of the sound issue. And now that I have reinstated my 13-year-old LCD Samsung, I realise that it's not really that bad. Ok, the LED picture was a bit better, but not that much better, and the sound from the tiny speakers was truly horrible compared to the Samsung connected to the stereo. I guess I will keep the old Samsung for a few more years!Update, about 3 weeks later:I eventually bought a new Samsung TV, which I'm very happy with. It has a choice of sound outputs, but amazingly, I don't need to connect it to the stereo. The LG sound was "tinny" and annoying. The Samsung sound is soft and natural, yet crystal clear. The LG menus were slow, and sometimes extremely slow. The Samsung menus are always instant. The LG was a 1024p "Full HD" TV. The Samsung I eventually chose is a 720p, or "HD Ready" TV. From where I sit, about 3m away, I can't see any difference. The picture quality with the BBC Planet Earth DVD is stunningly good on the new Samsung. It seems to me that 1024p is entirely unnecessary on TV's of this size.

Excellent for the value
Television is perfect! At the moment I use it just as a monitor(I don’t watch tv programs) and is perfect, settings are standard but for every little change you can see the difference on the screen. Easy and quick to set up. European plug isn’t a problem because I have the multi universal socket but I understand it could be annoying for most. Excellent purchase by the way

Adequate for purpose.
I bought this from .co.uk so was surprised that it came from a european and had to buy an adapter socket. It works well, but I would be worried that some buyers might not realise the voltage difference and just replace the plug with a british one.It is an LG. What can I say? I wouldn't buy one for myself because I know that the LG epg is rubbish, but this was for my granddaughter's bedroom. Adequate.

I'd avoid, to be honest!
Bought one, returned it. It doesn't say so on the product description but it's a European spec TV and came with a European plug. That wasn't such a problem but the image quality isn't impressive and the internal speakers are awful. There is no audio-out option so you're stuck with a TV you can barely hear in an average size room unless the volume is up so hight it rattles. I have had other LG TVs which have actually seemed like good value for money, but this one is just cheap... in more ways than one!
