Product Description For bicycles living outdoors, the saddle is normally the first component to show its weakness. Absorbing water when it rains and unsuited to withstand damage from abrasions, after a short time most will be found torn and deteriorating. Or, if more durably built, lacking the comfort of a performance-based design. Until now. In the city or touring abroad, the Brooks Cambium All Weather saddle naturally flexes for superior comfort and maximum durability through a vulcanised rubber and waterproof nylon top. Meticulously constructed in a modern aesthetic, the Cambium All Weather is the perfect combination of comfort and style for a lifetime on the bike. Box Contains saddle

Comfort from the outset, No breaking In
Comfort from the outset, No breaking In, Even better comfort than a gel saddle. I have just started cycling again after a lot of years, In my early days I had the Original Brook's B series Leather saddle fitted to my bike Wonderfull Saddle after its broken In, But that takes a very long time and miles to do, but then you have a most comfortable Saddle, there is also maintenance to carry out ie use of Brook's leather treatment periodically, Tensioning of the Leather after some time, also keeping it dry or prevent prolonged periods of time in rain. Now This Cambium all weather Saddle is a Totally different Concept, No Breaking In, No Treatment, No tensioning. This Saddle is not leather its made of rubber with an all weather impregnated surface. Comfort is gained by the way this saddle flexes, the principle is like a hammock suspended from the nose of the saddle and from the rear, giving a suspension effect. This saddle model is the C19 and what that means is this model is more for the 90deg upright riding position, I ride slightly less than 90deg but still find this saddle comfortable. If you have a more aggressive riding style, dropped bars etc, then you should go for the Cambium C17 series. To sum up If i was doing a lot of miles each day I would probably have gone for the Original Brook's B series leather saddle, most uncomfortable until you eventually break it in, then you have yourself a very comfortable saddle, which will last for years. I don't do that many miles on a bike anymore and to break a saddle In would have taken far to long hence going for the Cambium, I don't think its as comfortable as a fully broken in Brook's Leather saddle by any means but its not bad either. In my opinion I don't think the Cambium will last as long as the original leather saddle, time will tell. The Original Leather B series Is totally British Made by Brook's, The Cambium Is made by Brook's but In Italy. My suggestion to anyone interested In A Brook's Saddle would be to go to the Brook's web site, Not to Purchase from there because on Amazon they are better priced, but just to check out the range and read all about the differences between there range and see how they are made.

Like having your intergluteal cleft vigorously massaged by an angel
Correct saddle size is ascertained by one relatively simple formula; getting the correct measurement of your sit bones. After dozens of saddles, big fail on my part was never bothering and buying saddles by sight. Don't do this - save yourself a sore rump and a load of dosh and take this simple measurement and apply the said formula which is easily found online. Once the correct saddle size was established for me, enter Brooks Carved Cambium C15 which absolutely nailed the comfort factor (and nothing else) . Twenty mile test ride on fixed gear in casual clothes and no padded shorts and it felt like another 20 would have been no issue whatsoever so no more worries about a potentially ruptured scrotum on longer rides.

Ouch!!
I have ridden on a Brooks B67 for the past six years but a recent move has forced me to adjust my bike to my now longer commute.I was delighted with the B67 but as I now sit at more of an angle I started to experience numness down my right leg, time to change saddle.I've been eyeing up and researching the C17 for a looooong time and finally took the plunge. What an error. For those used to Brooks leather saddles this has none of the support and comfort you'll recognise. The shape/profile of the top of the saddle is unrecognisable when you sit on it.It is Hard (actually bruised my sit bone area) and unsupportive.I only tested it for 20 minutes and that was more than enough. I will say that it does have most of the fine Brooks quality in the construction.Lucky I protected the rails before I installed it, it's in a new condition and Amazon has a good return policy.I've already bought a B17 Imperial (on Amazon) instead and wow what a difference, perfect straight out of the box.Anyone struggling to make the choice go for the B17 immediately!

Stealthy looks and good saddle
It's a good saddle for my carbon hybrid, looks modern and gets out of the way when I want to lean forward and pedal Hard. I can shift my weight to the harder back when cruising for a different position and the hammock in the middle works well vs my gel seat its replacing. Some initial soreness due in first days but ok now.I thought this was too hard for me until I moved the seat back more on the cycle. I think this needs a more recessed position (back on rails) vs a regular gel seat, but it's working really well for me now and a solid upgrade from stock cannondale. One thing is I need to get smaller seat post bolts as they protrude dangerously close to my sensitive area around the opening..Summary is great saddle for a city fitness hybrid

A great all round saddle
I bought this saddle as I started commuting to work and wanted a good quality waterproof alternative to my 'cheap but functional' existing saddle. It has not disappointed. The saddle looks great, the surface is slightly textured which helps to prevent slipping forward, the cut is excellent, providing sufficient seating area in all positions without being intrusive to the inner leg. Unlike the Full Leather Brooks there is no adjustment required and it is not possible to change the tension of the saddle; that said the tension of the saddle is spot on with the saddle both supporting the rider in comfort and smoothly soaking up minor vibration, road noise and potholes. I have no reservations in recommending this product, after several hundred miles it is one of the best saddles I have ever had.

No as comfortable as they say?
I just came back from a 35+ miles ride to London. It is deffo not as comfortable as riders say all over the internet. Maybe it’s the positioning. I will be readjusting the saddle and update the review later on. Overall, it is way more comfortable than my original saddle. However, there were some spots where I experienced discomfort.UPDATE:I have done some readjustments and now it’s much more comfortable. It’s not the most comfortable saddle out there as others might make it sound like, but still a better option than factory generic saddles.
