Great lamps
Been putting off buying these bulbs as I know I would just want more. Now I’m hooked. Linked up to Alexa using the hub (bought separately) these bulbs are slightly pricy however they are more than worth it. The hue app is very user friendly and has some great functions. You can set the lights to come on as you drive into the drive way and switch off when you leave the house. The disco app is incredible. I plan on filling every room with these bulbs. If you are thinking about it trust me just go for it. They pay for themselves in the long run from running costs. Definitely recommend Have these set up behind the tv and they give off an amazing backlight effect. Great for corners and up-lighting effects

Rich colours.
I had the original Philips LivingColors remote controlled lamp, and this is a nice evolution of the concept. It's very small, especially compared to that model, but feels robust. I'm not sure what it's made of, but it feels almost ceramic - solid, dense, and well made. It's quite bright, but dimmer than most of the other Hue lights. However, this lamp occupies a useful place in the ecosystem, as unlike the lightbulbs, it is capable of producing true greens and pale blues, which they are not (note, the lightstrip can do both, but is more expensive). This lamp cannot, however, produce the range or brightness of white light that the bulbs and lightstrip can. So if you want accent colours, this is a good choice - if you want white light, or something to read by, this would not be suitable.*Update* With the release of the 'Richer Colors' (3rd generation) Hue bulbs, this lamp has become mostly redundant, as those are brighter than the Bloom, and produce the full range of colours (including rich blues and greens) *as well as* bright white light (cool to warm shades). It is therefore better value (given Bloom is around the same price as 1 bulb) to put a Richer Colors Hue bulb into an existing lamp than buy this product.

A nice looking modern style lamp
A real nice looking lamp. A modern style that can suite many rooms and areas. A big fan of stuff that can work with Alexa as well of having it be controlled via an app, even setting routines for the kids with having the lamps come on or off for bedtime/morning is a great bonus . Only two negatives i have two of these is there is no gap for the lead to double back under the lamp to keep it tucked away tidy, it has to either rock on the lead or go around the side which if not pulled close to it can be seen, also as i have these for kids lamps for there bunk bed, for them to be in control of there light for night time/ early morning i have brought two dimmer switches to be used next to them, unfortunately the dim of the colour is not particularly good (if none exinsistant) on this lamp. Overall thou i would still recommend.

Amazing product
I've got the GU10, B22, E27 and Lightstrips Hue bulbs in addition to the Blooms. The cable on the blooms is quite long. The colours on the Bloom represent excellent green and blues, far deeper than the GU10, E27 and B22's.The colour variance is on par with the lightstrips.I bought these as I can use them in the living room as disco lights (with the use of other apps) and in the children's bedroom when they want to dispel some colour at night. That being said - the selling point for me is that they are portable. They can be used outside the range of your wifi if you have other Hue lights that are connected to your bridge. These lights are not standalone - you need a hue bridge and wifi to turn off, on, colour changing and brightness.

Don't think that this is anything other than accent lighting.
If you're looking for a cheap alternative to buying Hue bulbs outright, then these sort of are, sort of not, and sort of a lot less than the main bulbs. I know they are not advertised as a 'Hue lamp', per se, but they really are accent lighting; plain and simple. The unit is a lot smaller than you think it's going to be and the unit feels really well made. There is a tiny design issue that is easily rectified -- it needs another cable notch in the base, to enable it to be pointed either way without wrapping the cable around it. At the moment it is just designed to have the cable come out of the base at the front (i.e. the direction of the bulb face.), instead of letting you point it in either direction. But that's me being niggly. The cable could have been longer (at 2 - 2.5m long) but again, it's not a huge deal. The amount of light is decent, for such a small unit, but the bulb isn't as flexible in colours displayed as the main bulbs. There are certain recipes that this won't work in. Which is a shame but not the end of the world. Pairing and adding it into my system was easy, no issues then or since. At the current reduced price of 40GBPs, it's worth it if you're looking to add some colour to your room.
