Good job for smooth skin
I am used to have my body waxed by professionals at home, and since I moved to the UK I was struggling between shaving (what gives me allergies and is not smooth for more than one day) and home waxing (which is messy and painful). This was my first epilator, so I wasn't sure what to expect, specially about the pain - but I decided to be brave, as I am used to waxing.I am extremely satisfied. I chose this model over the Silk-epil 7 because I didn't want to keep relying on charging batteries, and I wanted to have enough autonomy to just take my time - and I only have a shower, not a bathtub, so the wet epilation would not be very convenient for me anyway. First thing - some reviews were complaining about the power plug been too loose. I have used it with my shaver plug as well as in the mains with a plug adapter, and in both cases I found the plug was properly attached.I used it in my legs, armpit, face and bikini area. For the legs, I used the efficiency cap. It took slightly longer than I expected, the pain was more than I am used to with waxing (by now I feel no pain at all in my legs with wax), but all very bearable. For the armpits and face, it was very quick, and in the case of armpit I had no problems, and in the face I got red and a bit swell until the next day - I guess I will keep using my thin waxing strips in the face. For the bikini area... Well, that is the part where I expected the most pain, but also the most gain. I had to do it in parts, I could not bear the pain of taking it all off at once (I usually take it ALL off), so I did it in the span of three days. I found that the cooling glove doesn't help me to bear the pain, and it makes the skin get wet because of the air condensation, so I won't use it usually. It has been 4 weeks now that I have used the epilator, and my bikini area is still mostly smooth - a few bits growing here and there, but that's normal even if I have had a wax. You can use it again with not a lot of pain for those out of phase grow, and a tweezer if it's just a few of them. The pain is totally worth by the results it gives, I am saying good bye to those razors I was keeping handy. I also tested the hair groomer to trim shorter my arm hair, and it works nice.I overall recommend the product.

Really good epilator.
Most epilator reviews are inaccurate, firstly because it's filled with people using them for the first time and often people use them inaccurately. Corded epilators are the best because you can use them straight away and don't have to wait for them to charge like the cordless ones.Don't be under the impression that an epilator will remove hair in one stroke, on average it takes 3 strokes per section. Never do short quick strokes. For the best result, they need to be long slow (very slow) strokes. For your hair to grow back every 4 weeks, you need to epilate once every for 4 weeks, when the hair follicle is weak enough, it could take up to 3-5 weeks to grow back. You will also need to epilate 2-3 days after your first epilation because unfortunately, there are different hair growth cycles. Essentially, you need to train your hair.Corded epilators last for years (10-15 years), cordless lasts for 3-4 years. In my opinion, it's best to have both. The new Braun Epil 5-825 (Purple) only has 28 tweezers vs this one which has 40. Read reviews very carefully, it's often that people aren't using epilators correctly. It's best to read reviews by people who have been epilating for years. I've only been epilating for 2 years (Lockdown purchase), I've had this one for a 1.5 years. This has served me well. I have experienced some of the problems other people had with this product, but in actuality, it was my fault for using the wrong technique. The most painful area to epilate (besides you know where), is the underarms. Use the slow setting with the plain head (not the rotating one), always in the opposite direction to hair growth. If your hair is too long in any area, use the shaving attachment with the clipper head to cut the length down. It's also useful to use the shaving head with the attachment before you go for a Brazillian wax because it cuts the hair to the perfect length. I've saved a ton of money by not waxing anymore. Really good product, companies don't make as many corded epilators because they can't make money from them as often as cordless ones because they don't die as often. It's really all you need, I don't even own a razor.
