Once we wired it correctly it works quite well. No hum or buzz and is easy to trigger. Remember to attach the ground wire!

The mic looks fine and works OK. However it lacks emphasis for the higher audio frequencies. It appears to have a "flat" audio output. I may need to use an adjustable selective preamp after the mic.

I expected much better from Shure. This mic was purchased to be used to announce football games and promised crystal clear sound. First off, it was damaged in the box when it arrived. (pictures below) The damage was pretty much cosmetic, but still rather disappointing. By far and away the worst thing about this mic was that when the button is pressed and released, a loud pop is heard over the PA system. So, when calling a play, you hear "POP! # 21 runs for ten yards and another first down... POP!" ETC.I was positive this mic was going to be perfect for this usage but it turns out to be no better than the radio shack quality mic that was already in use. My attempt to return the mic failed as well. I contacted Amazon a couple of days after I bought it with pictures but never heard back. I'd hoped to find out how to return it. Because it came without the Neutrik 3-pin end, I had to put solder it on before I knew the mic didn't work well. I double checked that to make sure it wasn't part of the issue. It isn't. I'd still like to return the mic, but never got a response and not I fear it is too late. (If you'd like it, reply to this review and we can work something out...) But, be warned, if you don't like the extra "pop" that comes with using it, you may not like this.

Excellent mic for ham station! Gets excellent reviews on Eham. Works great with newer and older equipment. Just be prepared to solder on your mic connector!

I have purchased this product before, it is used daily in a retail store. Good reliable product.

Hooked it up for a school office to allow announcements into pa system throughout the building. Works well.Locking button is noisy on the sound system, but it works.Lightweight.

Love this mic when I need a dynamic push-to-talk mic. Can be a little thumpy when you push the button, but only because the vibration of the button bottoming out is transferred to the element. If you push gently, no thump.

Fantastic audio. Great for running on vintage tube rigs since it has selectable impedance.
