Good video results but a couple of small drawbacks.
Having used this for the past couple of weeks with my GoPro Hero 5, I come out with mixed feelings - mostly good but some so-so.The positives: I have this on my helmet riding an ATV in fast trails as well as rocky. The stabilization is great - it does exactly what it was intended to do. The gimbal feels solid and battery life so far is good. I tested this in water and it's indeed waterproof and stabilizes well under water (I wouldn't take this too deep as the USB connector is hidden under a rubber boot and I reckon it will leak if you go more than a couple/few feet of water. Personally, I can't imagine using in deep water - maybe at the surface. It would be extremely useful if it is raining hard outside. You can download the FeiyuOn app and with that you can control the motion (up, down, left, right) as well as the rate of turn and motor strength. I'm getting great video shots which have controlled panning (with the app) as well as shots that don't give people motion sickness! The drawbacks. The device is a little bit heavy. You would definitely notice it if you have it strapped to the chest or the helmet (my main usage). It balances well - but you feel this everywhere you go. When using the FeiyuOn app, I noticed that it disconnects from the WG2 every once in a while and when it does, you have to pair again. I don't know what is causing it but my iphone was only 2 feet away. I may just go buy the separate remote and see if that is any better - which technically is the way to go as the phone should be used instead to look at the GoPro video feed anyway. Third, unlike the non-waterproof WG model, you can't swap out the battery. I think this is the biggest backdraw as you only get 2 or so hours of usage before the gimbal quits on you and charging is necessary. I can do that with the GP5, I should be able to do that with this one too. Lastly (as I saw with someone else), the bracket is a pain to work with. Everytime I need to charge the go pro or swap out the battery, I need to fiddle around with 2 screws and a bracket that can easily be lost. Feiyu should have designed a bracket that was easy and quick to use - as well as not needing to completely remove (and losing it which I have done a couple of times already).I like the fact that it's waterproof but rethinking my usage, I may prefer the option of changing batteries and going with the regular WG model and hope it doesn't encounter rain.

Cool, but has some issues
I took it on vacation with me to Mexico. A few things I noticed about this gimbal is that it sometimes tilts on it's own. When walking or even staying still. Also, the gimbal redirects the camera to a different direction even though you are not moving. One other big issue I had was one day I had it outside when it was around 90 F and I had been filming for about 30 min. When I went to turn off the gimbal, it would not respond to any of the buttons or app. The gimbal eventually ran out of battery and once it cooled down, I charged it back up and I hadn't had any issues since.Since the gimbal is completely sealed, there is not any way to replace the batteries with a fresh set. You must hook the gimbal to a USB to charge. I like that I can charge it by USB, but if I run out of battery, I can't swap it out and keep going. I think I did see someone mention they might be able to hook up a power bank for longer running times, but I haven't tried that yet.

Awesome gimbal and easy to use!
I've been looking for something like this for a while as I am tired of my shaky mountain bike videos with my Gopro mounted on the frame. I have a handheld FeiyuTech gimbal and tried taking it on a ride (mounted it to my handlebar using a GoPro mount) but the amount of vibrations when attached to a mountain bike frame are too violent and the gimbal would just disengage and flop down. Mounting a gimbal on the body with either a chest or helmet mount works so much better as our natural tendency to absorb the most severe vibrations enable the gimbal to continue working. The waterproof features, especially coupled with a GoPro 5 or 6, are an extra bonus for the unexpected rain showers. I have not tried the time lapse motion capture feature. Only issue is the inability to swap out a battery. But it's still a great product.

Sketchy at best, wanted to like it.
I must have received a defective unit, but ultimately could not get adequate support and returned it. I had 4 issues with my unit. First the mounting bracket was bent although the unit seemed new. I easily bent it back into shape so I moved on. Next up I started the unit up and it would intermittently just spin wildly. After restarting it a few times it stopped. (I did update the firmware before the spinning behavior).Lastly, no matter how I oriented and installed my session 5, the body of the camera would actually hit the gimbal as it moved to balance itself. I was unable to resolve this and sent it back. Note I emailed support. They asked for videos which I sent but they ultimately were unable to really address my issues.

So I can say its a very impressive bit of equipment that seems to have a good quality feel and finish about it and the guy ...
Bought as a presant for my son who is just getting into a bit of film production youtube stuff ect. Firstly I am not a techie or a big camera user but my eldest who I bought this for is, for this reason I went on some forums for advice because I wanted to get a decent gimbal at sensible (ish) money. I got chatting with a guy who conveniently only lives 6 miles from me and he very kindly offered to demo his for me . So I can say its a very impressive bit of equipment that seems to have a good quality feel and finish about it and the guy who demo'd his for me swares by his. Providing this thing turns out to be reliable in the long term i think my son will be very happy.

New, improved, and pretty awesome
I've used the WG2 a few times with a Hero 5 GoPro - definitely a game changer...!! Easy to switch on and use, and then super stable footage. Looking forward to testing to the timelapse mode. It's definitely a huge upgrade on the previous model! The latest app is great for setting motor speed and strength - default settings are fine though. It fits well on a chest mount (pretty lightweight) but more fun on a helmet or selfie stick / pole - the tripod mounts are on the bottom and rear of the base of the gimbal.
