So happy to have this little tent
I have now used this tent for a total of 8 nights of outdoor camping and 1 night of indoor "quarantine" camping. Now that I've had some time in the tent, I feel like I have a pretty good handle on the pros and cons of the single layer tent.Pros:--Great price--Easy set up and takedown--Waterproof on the outside (I had one night of heavy rain and wind and my tent didn't leak!)--Spacious for one person plus a ton of gear--Huge door--Ability to take small rain fly off to vent the tent better--Nice color; I've gotten so many compliments on my little blue tent--Lightweight and very packable.Cons:--The poles are light but I question the quality for longterm use. I am gentle with them and haven't had any issues yet but I predict that they will be the first things that need to be replaced--I wish this tent had clips instead of feeding the poles through the sleeves. It's not particularly hard to shove them through but it can be frustrating when the sleeve gets caught on the pole.--The tent does not come with a footprint and it is hard to find one that fits. Night Cat says a footprint is not necessary but I'd be reluctant to go without.--You will need to vent this tent to avoid condensation when it's cold. I found that staking out the flap of the door and taking off the rain fly on a night without rain did the trick.--Stakes are a bit flimsy so I replaced those with some better stakes from REIOverall, I love this tent. I'm not an experienced camper and I'm pleased by this choice for my first tent. I hope to get much more use out of it while trying to stay outdoors and away from people during the pandemic!

OK for trying out backpacking for the first time
Took this out on a 3-day, 2-night backpacking trip. It kept me dry during a horrible storm on night 1; however, since this is a single layer tent, condensation came in through the walls and eventually flooded the corners of the bathtub floor. Luckily, my positioning on a hill prevented the water from reaching me. On night 2, I noticed that one of the poles were broken. Was able to till pitch the tent, but it wasn't as stable. Also, I should note that there is some sort of microparticles on the poles that cause slivers. I recommend pitching the tent using gloves the first couple times. Also, because the material of the tent can't breathe - it feels suffocating if you have to keep the outside door closed. This is a cheap economy tent that will get you through your first backpacking trip. I personally won't be using this tent again. I need something more breathable in the future, it already broke, and it's a bit too heavy.

Kept the wife happy
Love that it was so easy to setup at the beach. Wife burns easy so loves that she had an option to be in the shade while watching the kids play at the beach. Easy to take down as well but wish the bag that it came with was a bit bigger to make it easier to store it back but not a big deal; I was still able to squeeze it in.

very flimsy poles
After our pop up shelter finally died, we bought this bc of being tired of the origami hassle with refolding the pop up. Our camping tent has clips that make it super easy to set up, take down, and store and this shelter was the only one we could find with clip attachments. Super sad that the fiberglass poles are so flimsy and one was already broken upon arrival. Fabric is quite thin, zippers had split apart but we were able to rezip them, and the sewing was a bit unfinished in places. It was the perfect size and very light weight, but will be returning it and will keep looking as I can't imagine a replacement will be much different. Glad I wasn't at the beach before first opening it!!!

Loveeee this!!!
The media could not be loaded. Took it to an all-inclusive resort in Playacar. Beach loungers at the resort we stayed at were so far away from the water and provided little sunshade. I brought this with me since its compact and lightweight. Setup and take down were a breeze. I had the waiters bring me drinks all the way to my cute little tent. I was out there rain or shine. Everyone left when it rained. I just closed mine and stayed out listening to the relaxing rain while sipping my margarita- lol. The only issue we had was the pole not fitting together. So my husband peeled it back to make them connect. I bought another one for backup as soon as we got home- that's how much we love this tent. I love the beach but I hate the UV. This had been a perfect solution. The picture I posted were in 2 different beaches. The picture was from Mamitas Beach Club by Playa del Carmen. The video was from Allegro Playacar.

Good budget tent
I took this tent out on a weekend of sporadic torrential downpour in hopes that it would live up to its waterproof claim. The 3rd morning is only when I started to notice that the tent was beginning to lose the fight but it had held up surprisingly well against the water. I do reccomend getting a footprint or using a tarp underneath the tent (I did this and I dont think the floor would have stayed dry as long as it did without this). The material seems pretty sturdy but still pretty thin- not sure that I would reccomend using this in sub 40F temps. The stakes are basically useless so I replaced 4 of them with $1 9" stakes from walmart and that did the trick. The poles seem a little flimsy and could probably be replaced but I feel like as long as they are handled carefully when pitching and taking down they should be fine. It is also definitely not a 2 person tent. I am 5' 5" and had enough space for me, my sleeping pad and bag as well as my backpack but there was not enough room for more gear or another person. Overall, no major issues- seems to be a good little tent.
