Don't buy it for the stirring.
So, after failing over and over trying to do good wings in this thing I gave up for a year. I decided one day to see what wing recipes were on youtube for my breville smartoven air. They had a good one. Tried it in my smartoven, it totally smoked up the house, was a hassle to clean up after. They were good. I decide to try that same recipe in this machine with NO stirrer, air only (level4), no bottom burner, using the plain pan and grate accessories. I cook them for 18 minutes a side, flipping is a breeze compared to the oven. You can rotate the grate -while- they cook through the top ventilation holes with a long butter knife. The wings came out even better. Cleanup is a breeze. It's nice to be able to see the wings while they cook. The recipe is the korean air fried wings recipe (1.5 lbs wings, 1tblspoon alumfree baking powder,1 tsp koshsalt-I use other seasoning with salt in it instead) Cook skin side down first to get some oil on those skins. This thing only fits about 1.5 lbs of wings tightly, they should make a bigger one that rotates a grate for me.

Oh No, You’ll Be Sorry! Read Why.
We did a few product reviews on my YouTube Channel and DeLonghi is one of them. I highly recommended Delonghi’s convection oven because of the built quality, eases of use, and cooking / baking turned out really good. Fact, we recommend the convection oven as a comparison to a Mercedes-Benz, top quality! Oops, something went wrong after receiving the De'Longhi FH1363 MultiFry Extra, Air Fryer and Multi Cooker. What we thought Delonghi as a high end product was dismays after receiving this air fryer. The air fryer was so badly made we returned it. Cheap plastic housing. Please, let me say this again; CHEAP plastic housing! Every part of this air fryer, top clear cover and bottom unit is cheap plastic. Even the legs, the fryer can easily slip and side around the countertop. The manual is not intuitive. We couldn’t get the blade to turn, well, somewhat. Nothing within the manual was clear for troubleshooting a faulty blade from turning so it can cycle the food around the bowl in a clockwise circle. We contacted amazon tech support, they too, couldn’t troubleshoot. After online research and tried to contact Delonghi without success, we went ahead and placed a frozen bag of french fries into the air fryer bowl, add a few drops of extra virgin olive oil, tossed the fries, close the lid, and turn the air fryer on. There is no timer to set how long to air fry except for a timer clock that is seated into the front of unit, it does not control the air fryer in any way -it’s just a timer that is independent from the unit. Within two or three minutes the air fryer blade started to turn and moving the fries in a counter clockwise circle. Within 15 minutes some of the fries got caught under the blade causing it to lift the blade up from the center pole and preventing the fries to circle around the fryer bowl. Note: the blade was locked down into position. We had to open the cheap cover and free the stuck fries and placed the blade back down into position. Continue cooking the fries for another 30 minutes. Most, but not all fries looked totally cooked on the outside and decided to removed them from the fryer and let them cool for a few minutes. After we taste test the fries, air fryer was a hit and miss. Some fries had been fully cooked and others -not. Total cooking time around 50 minutes.Experiencing this air fryer gave us a different opinion about Delonghi and their overall product recommendation. Understand, nothing is perfect and we all can find pros and cons within every product purchase -understandable. But, this air fryer was beyond understanding. The plans and thought for the functionality of the air fryer was there, but the execution of the product was poorly delivered that it made no sense why a company with once a reputable name allowed it. Breville on the other hand, makes high end quality products and maintains it till this day. I bring up Breville for the reason they once shared the same quality as Delonghi, or they did. These two names; Breville and Delonghi were always known for their top of the line small kitchen appliances. But, after reviewing the Delonghi air fryer, we can sadly say, the company has altered their products to a less undesirable taste for consumers to even think about purchasing.Once again, nothing is perfect and products will always have pros and cons, but this air fryer is not worth to be called a air fryer -it’s that bad. You may find some good reviews about this air fryer, but I would most likely tell you some of those reviews have been paid. And, QVC will tell you how wonderful this air fryer is, but it is QVC and they will never share the cons of any products they’re promoting. So, If you’re in the market for an air fryer I highly recommend the Ninja Air Fryer Max XL. We tested many air fryers and with all its imperfections or not, the Ninja Air Fryer Max XL always come on top of our list. We tested hundreds of meals using the Ninja Air Fryer Max XL and mostly all came out great. Of cause, not every meal was perfect but most were. Ninja Air Fryer Max XL will have the most four or five star rating compared to other brands. Ninja Air Fryer Max XL Is something to think about and research on.If you’re looking for an all-in-one that has multiple cooking functions and doesn’t require countertop space, I highly recommend Breville Combi Wave 3-in-1 Convection Oven. Breville Combi Wave is a three in one that does convections, air fryers, and microwaves cooking all at once, or just a single function. Yes, the price tag is hefty but as the saying goes, you get what you pay for.Without a doubt, the Breville or Ninja Foodi will be a better option to the Delonghi air fryer. Do your homework before making a purchase. And be carful reading the so called reviews, many of them are paid writers. Amazon displays that the buyer is a “Verified Purchase.” Other ways to determine if the reviews is paid by the way they write, if it sounds to good to be true then it is. If the writer is in other product reviews and writes similar, most likely a paid writer. Also, you will see other reviewers write similar to other reviews, most likely a paid writer. So, like everything in life, you have to be carful readings reviews too.I hope this review helps and serves you well on your quest for a new air fryer. Best of luck. Have an awesome day my friend!

Love the product, versatile, easy to use and clean.
Very good product and exceptionally easy to clean. We like cooking chicken wings and thighs in it on a fairly regular basis with roughly a couple tablespoons of oil. That is way better than traditional frying that just saturates your fried chicken in a large quantity of oil. I would not say that air-frying is better than barbecuing on the gas-grill. It is just a different, tasty and an excellent alternative to grilling especially when its raining outside. It does take a bit longer to cook chicken in the air-fryer vs a grill, but it is quite acceptable. This air fryer is fairly quiet and really does a great job of cooking things in (2) directions (bottom and top). The clock on this product is totally worthless due to its small size and location. Just use your own kitchen timer and you're good to go.If you really want to learn a lot more "hands-on" about this product, lookup a lady on YouTube who's handle is "Booger500us". She really answers a lot of product questions (including how she got her handle and it is not gross). She is so easy to watch and has created loads of useful videos/recipes using this very air-fryer.

Love it, and hate it
I originally bought this air fryer in Jan 2019, "used" from Amazon. It was great. We have a family of 7, and the size was perfect. We never air fried much, rather we used it for food warming. Man, oh, man. Perfect for rewarming pizza, cooking frozen corn dogs, and frozen tater tots. It died in Aug 2019. 7 months almost to the day.We l;oved the unit so much, I purchased a second one at Best Buy, this time with a 2-year extended warranty. Arrived August 8 2019, and died August 10, 2019. Yep, 6 days after the warranty expired.I may buy the refirb from Amazon with a 4-year warranty this time. I really feel foolish in getting the same unit, but we can't live without it.

Not so surround cooking & it's not as fast as a air frier!
I am still experimenting with it but so far.... It browns on the bottom faster so there is a need to flip sometimes. I'm wondering if I should have purchased the smaller one because the food would be closer to the top heating element, and cooking more evenly on both sides at once. The paddle didn't mix up my chili very well, some of the beans stayed on the top long enough to split open and dry out so I had to manually stir things up. I does fry with little to no oil to a nice crunch! I think the more I use it the more I will like!
