Sometimes the least is just what you need
This is a nice little UV pocket light. It's not even close to the best or brightest, but what this one gives you is compactness. The user of this light only needs it periodically, and not for illuminating a whole room, but for checking something specific. The ability to zoom the light to focus all its energy on a tiny area about ¾ inch square makes it compete with the big boys for that little inch. So, if your needs are small, this may well be the only UV light you need. If you need to see more area, from further away, this just won't cut it.Also, this light is not tuned to the wavelength of UV sensitive inks in government documents. You won't even see them, so if that's your purpose, do not bother. This isn't the light for you. The best light I've seen for that, so far, is the NOVA UV flashlight. It's maddeningly difficult to use, but someone at least got the wavelength right. For everything else on a tiny scale, this little light will work just fine. Please do not think I'm recommending it over the iLumen8, or the UV-Beast, or the NOVA. I'm just saying that for small needs, those may be overkill, and if this one works for you, what's wrong with that? And this one is surely safer for the eyes. That's something to consider.

Great little light as is
Great little light as is. I highly recommend using 14500's with it instead of AA's, as the output is fantastic. Much brighter than standard AA's. Feels great and has decent strength and weight. Fit and finish leaves a little to be desired (a few things were drilled/shaved haphazardly). Also the main piece with the circuit board and the LED keeps coming loose. Finally, the description says there are "lighting modes" that can be switched between by half-pressing the button, or turning on and off rapidly. I don't find there to be any sort of functionality here aside from the design of the switch making it possible for you to manually strobe it quickly with your finger.Overall worth the price, but it's not perfect.

Disappointed.
Only one of the two worked. Second one even made the battery overheat. It would in my opinion not be cost effective for you to pay the postage to return and replace said item. I will simply make due with the one.

Best UV flashlight I've found, so far.
Husband says: This is a REALLY strong UV flashlight. I've paid over $20 for UV flashlights that I don't think are a good. I use these flashlights for examining antiques, and also for illuminating vaseline/uranium glass. WELL worth the price.

Good for small checks
For small checks these lights work really good. They are inspection lites I think and will not light up an entire room but small easy to carry and the contrast is about 2' when shining from abut 4' away.

Returned for scrap
Started getting extremely hot while in the 'OFF' state. Clearly defective. Shipped back to Amazon for hazmat disposal.

The kids LOVED it!
We used these for a birthday party scavenger hunt. Each clue was written in invisible ink, so they had to shine the UV flashlight on the note to read the clue and get to the next prize. It was a HUGE HIT! The kids LOVED it!

small, but they work well!
These lights are a little smaller than I thought they would be, but they work very well.
