Klutz - Face Painting Book Kit

The book shown here is not the one I received.The picture shows the original Klutz face painting book, with one kid on the cover and rather elaborate face paint designs. The second Klutz face painting book (two kids on the cover) has good designs, too, but they are simpler.They are completely different books. (Klutz caused a lot of confusion by giving them the same title.)I ordered this one because I wanted the more elaborate designs. But what I received from Gifts by Renee was the second book, the one with simpler designs and two kids on the cover.

I have always loved this particular face painting book. I used it as my (now 24 year old) eldest son was quite young, and used it for my youngest this Halloween.We had to make an emergency run to the local grocery, however, because although the book itself is in good shape, the paints, or what would have been left of them, as this was purchased "used, had been literally TORN OFF THE BOOK! I would rather have payed more and gotten the remainder of paint to use, but the seller madeNo mention of having purposefully removed the paints.So, 5 stars for the book, 1 star or this seller. But only because the did not include "paints torn off" in their descriptio.

I bought this book to do face painting for a charitable event. Was sent a book with a different cover. See attached photo. Was not pleased. Book is overly simple without much diversity. We ended up not using it.

I'm not an artist by any stretch, but I painted a friend of mine as Frankenstien last Halloween following the instructions in this book and he won a huge costume contest in San Jose! All the faces in the book are EASY to do and make you look like a professional artist! Way fun! By the way, the cover pic is the worst face in the book!! All the others inside ROCK! Zebras, Ninja Warriors, Cats, zombies. Its so easy and fun, I'm thinking of renting a booth at our local flea market and charging $5 a face! Lots of happy kids, parents, and me : )

Used this when my children were little... My Grandson loves it now, too. Fun and easy.

The book was just "OK" and the paints were torn off, so I did not get a chance to try it out. I ended up ordering just the paints from the Klutz website. I LOVE the paints, they are great. The book could have been better. If you look at the Snazeroo website and wolfe brother's website there are links to expert face painters. That gave me much more insight into how to do a good piece than what the book had.

A terrific introduction with reassurance for the uninitiated throughout and superb supplies.If you are reading this then you have at least as much artistic talent as I do, and probably more. In spite of not being able to pass stick figures in kindergarten I bought this book hoping to learn to create a reasonable painted face while having something fun to do on rainy days with my 5 year old daughter.IT WORKED! We have a blast with this and I have now painted her friends, my sister, my daughter's classmates and teachers all with great results.If you are looking to become a professional make up artist, perhaps this is not the book for you. But if you are looking to be a hero to someone you know ages 2 to 102 this book is the ticket.Note: the terrific kryolan face paints can be purchased separately from several web sites or perhaps even a local theater supply store if you are in a decent sized town/city... My freind has the same book and it came with face colors.. i was very disappointed that although it isnt new, it didnt arrive with it

thought there would be more useful face designs in this book - was old and quite tattered when it arrived (second hand). it's a nice read but not entirely what i'd had in mind, some of the designs are very basic. good for the children to look at while they're waiting, though.
