I really wanted to love this laptop case but after receiving it I was quite disappointed. It is very close to a great product but it left me scratching my head.The big design flaw, IMHO, is that the case opens from the bottom. Now this case's zippers appear to be of good quality and I don't think they will ever "fail" -- however, stranger things have happened -- and if they do fail for whatever reason, then your laptop is at the mercy of gravity. And generally laptops don't work well after experiencing weightlessness for the first time. I think this is a huge design fail. Do you really want your 2,000, 3,000 or 4,000 laptop at the mercy of a zipper? I sure don't.I do love the general design of this bag and its features. The integrated leather handle is a nice touch. It seems very strong and should last a long time. The zippers are of high quality. The case materials are good.Some other nitpicks of mine:1. The lack of an included carry strap is fine but at least have the d-rings on the bag so a user can add their own strap.2. My particular "new" case had some kind of glue/adhesive stain right in the bottom/middle of the case. I didn't use any chemicals to remove it as I'm returning this case. It might come off with some help.3. The secondary pocket opens from the top but the primary pocket opens from the bottom -- why?I think with these changes the case would be really solid and much more functional.

Just received this tomtoc case in the mail today. I love it so far! This fits my MacBook Pro 15 inch (late 2016 model) perfect! There is no sliding around, there is good protection the edges of the case to absorb shock. The inside material is soft, and will not scratch the computer. This case is not bulky either, this case could easily fit into a backpack with no issues. The carrying handle is nice, good to have if you want to just bring your computer and not a backpack, etc. There is a front pouch that can fit pens, pencils, cards, chargers, etc. I was able to fit an external hard drive, usb c hub, the power adapter with extension all in this front pocket with no hassle. The material that was used to make this is made very well, does not feel cheap. The zippers seem to be very well made too. I am very impressed with this product, this is the first product I have ever bought from tomtoc. I will definitely buy from this company again, as they make quality products and even recommended a case for my new MacBook when I contacted them.

The Tomtoc 14 Inch Protective Sleeve/Bag/Case is a very good (not perfect) fit for the Acer Chromebook 14. I spent about a week trying to decide with sleeve/bag to get for the Acer Chromebook 14. After reading a LOT of reviews and double checking dimensions and photos I decided to try this TomToc 14" sleeve mostly because of the extra padding around the sides. I'm glad I did.The compartment for the Chromebook is a little big by about 3/8" on both sides but I don't think it's a problem at all. The computer does not really move around when zipped in and it feels like it's well protected.I really like the padding a lot, it feels nice and soft so I shouldn't scratch the case of the computer. It also feels like there's quite a bit of cushion material on the top, bottom and all four sides which should do a nice job of protecting the computer if it should have a short fall while zipped in the sleeve.There is also a bit of stiff material between the computer section and the zippered accessories/supplies side pouch. I think this should help a lot to protect the computer from bulky items placed in the side pouch. Inside the side pouch there are a number of smaller pockets and elastic holders if you like to keep things organized but they all lay flat if you just want to toss your items in.Others have commented that the handle is not leather, it's not, but it stills feels like it should hold up to daily use. I'm too concerned about it at this point and only time will tell if it will be an issue. Having a small bit of metal or stiff plastic sewn into the handle would help it to feel stronger and last longer.I took away one star (to make this a four star review) only because of the computer compartment zipper placement. I understand why the zipper opening for the computer compartment may have been placed on the opposite side of the handle but I really wish it was on the same side as the handle. I would feel much better about this sleeve if the zipper was on the "top". I don't think the zipper is going to fail any time soon (it seems solid enough) but if it does fail the computer may end up on the floor. Since the sleeve is supposed to protect the computer I see this as an issue (enough to take one star away but not enough to return the sleeve).I really do like this sleeve and I'm glad I took the time to do the research. I was just about ready to buy a different one when I found this TomToc. I would certainly recommend it to others.

Note that despite it being an XPS 15 and having a 15.6" screen (diagonal), it's actually a 14" laptop so make sure you select the 14" size when you buy this if you are looking a snug fit. It seems to have decent padding to protect it in the event of a drop and the outside material seems relatively tough and scratch resistant which is nice. The attached handle seems reliable enough and although I usually go for the slim case-only look for my laptop it's nice to have the outer pocket to fit some stuff like the charger and a small mouse for on the road.-

This case is super light and great-looking. The handle seems really robust so far (not having issues like others have mentioned). The inside is silky-smooth and I'm not at all worried about scratching my computer. By the way, it fits my 15" 2017 MacBook Pro like a glove. Anything bigger and it'll be a tough squeeze.The zippers seem sturdy enough. They don't get caught on the material and are pretty smooth.The front pocket is really nicely made. Features 2 pockets for small objects as well as 3 elastic bands that hold things like chargers or even portable hard drives (please use a case!) tightly.I knew I wouldn't be getting this when I bought it, but I realized I'd like to have a shoulder strap bag. Not a big deal but it would be cool if this case had small rings to hook a strap onto it.

For the price you can't fault this product. I have a 14inc laptop and this sleeve is perfect. I got the 14inc bag. It's lightweight and yet has enough protection to make you feel secure in knowing that if you dropped your sleeve it will be safe. Please note I have not dropped my laptop just yet. Overall great product for the price.

The quality is OK. The brown handle don't match the black case. Would have been nice to have a shoulder strap. I should have order tomtoc Original 14 Inch Laptop Shoulder Bag with CornerArmor. Over all for the price is a good bag.

Bought this for my 2018 15" MacBook Pro (which has a clear plastic case on it) and it fit perfectly. The corner protectors are there in the bottom two corners (which for me adds peace of mind from accidental damage) and it has space for your charger, cables, accessories etc! Overall very pleased with this purchase.

So far so good. I'm using this sleeve for an Lenovo T460, to segregate it in my main bag and cushion/collect all the parts.
