Not what I expected...
This is not an in depth review. Think of this book as more of a quick review of SOME key concepts you will need for the test. I can't bash it completely because I did pick up some things in it. The ease of the review questions are VERY misleading. I only missed 3 questions out of the entire book but on the texes practice test i made a 68% and on my practice tests from texesprep.com I'm averaging about a 245 (240 is passing). Also, this book is missing 20% of the TeXes test. There is NO CHEMISTRY in this review book. I found that to be incredibly odd.Needless to say, I got through this book in 6 hours cover to cover. It is another resource to reference but by no means will fully prepare you for the Texes test. I'd recommend getting the Flashcard Set offered for your test. I have the Life Science set and it is fantastic. Very detailed and allows you to chunk your study time. Most of my prep time has been on Khanacademy.org They have just about every subject you'd ever want in the form of video lectures with practice. The videos average 15 minutes each and there's a TON of them, broken down by subject. I've learned more about chemistry in the last 3 days than I remember from a full year course I took.So would I recommend this product? Yes, you need everything you can get your hands on to pass this test and it IS a good overview of MOST of the content. Think of this book like a big vocabulary book. Will it FULLY prepare you for the exam? No way.

Only wish Amazon allowed zero stars
What a total waste on money and paper. To think that trees died for this book breaks my heart. Somehow I missed that it was 122 pages. All the topics are just a splash of information. This book will not teach you anything you don't already know. You would be better off downloading the PDF from the TExES testing site and working through the topics presented there. I wish I had seen the previous review before I ordered this book. I do NOT recommend it at all.

Too general
This book covered part of the material required in the test but in such a general and superficial way that it would've been impossible to pass the test only with this book. I do not recommend it at all. For this test I would recommend to go through the Preparation Manual provided by TEA and make sure you understand everything included in the competencies. This is what I did and I passed the test, the book was no help at all.

decent review but fails to cover the necessities
The book is a good source for an overly basic review of the variety of topics covered in the exam. However, ETS has all the topics that could be covered clearly published on their website, and this book covers only about half. Without practice exams or anything similar to go on, I question the ability of this study guide to actually prepare a reader for the exam.

Content did not prepare me well for the actual test ...
Content did not prepare me well for the actual test questions. The study guide was not intense or detailed enough.
