These reviews are bogus. I purchase these gloves, and am not impressed. You can feel the heat from the pan very well at 350, and I can't sit the pan down fast enough at 450. I wouldn't trust it any hotter or for more than a very few seconds. I have 1$ pot holders I picked up at local big box stores that provide more heat protection than these.

A decent pair of gloves although somewhat disappointing. I use them while cooking on our grill to remove a heat shield when hot. I was led to believe that my hands would be protected from the heat and I wouldn't feel a thing. Wrong. I still had to move very quickly while handling the metal shield if I didn't want to cook my hands as well. They are OK. Would I recommend them ? Probably not. I'd keep looking.
