Better quality
My fish seem to enjoy these tubifex worms more than their other no name brand tubifex worms.I haven't noticed it clouding up the water. So that's a good thing.

Emergency backup worms
My favorite fish food is freeze dried blackworms - which are super expensive, and often out of stock. My overly spoiled discus fish generally wont accept most dry foods, and so I needed to find a backup...enter tubifex. If you google tubifex worms, you'll find tons or horror stories about parasites and diseases transmitted to aquarium fish. While I am sure this is generally true of live tubifex worms (and many other live foods) - I have been feeding freeze dried tubifex worms from 3 different brands for the past 8 months without problems. Is the freeze drying process a guarantee that tubifex worms are parasite free like several of these big brands claim? No idea. I do know that my fish grow have grown crazy fast and just started spawning. I still prefer freeze dried blackworms (and so do the fish) whenever I can get them, but I substitute tubifex whenever I run out.Of the brands I've tried so far, I prefer these from Omega One. Hikari cubes are just too small, too clumpy, and too much of a hassle for my bigger fish. The cubes from Omega One soak up water and break apart into individual worms more readily. If I do end up getting parasites or diseases in my aquarium - I will come back and correct my review.

Fishys love them
My Dad always had these for our fish many years ago. We figured we'd try them and see if our fish enjoy them. They do and swim up to us as we place them in the tank.

Turtles love this
I purchased this item for the first time from the third party seller on Amazon - Josh's Frogs. It appears to be genuine product. My 1 and 2 year old turtles love this product. They also love the Hikari tubifex worms. It's hard to compare cost when an unknown portion of the weight is the vitamin E. This product also has listed on the label a lower protein and higher fiber content than the Hikari and San Francisco Bay Tubifex worm cubes (2% vs 0.3% and 0.5% respectively) . The cubes appear dense and are easily broken apart. I chose this item because of the high consumer ratings and fakespot.com reported most of the reviews were legit.

Brilliant.
I have mostly large American Cichlids, also Silver Dollars, Clown Loaches, German Blue Rams, Guppy’s, Dwarf Gourami’s, Pea Puffers, Tetras, lots of different Catfish and Plecos all across lots of tanks, and these handy cubes are definitely one of the favourites for all of them! They get super excited when I’m putting it on the glass, most will start eating before I’ve taken my hand away. I use half a cube for my small tanks, and that’s still plenty. Also no mess left on the glass, it’s totally spotless by the time they’ve finished! So many cubes in the pot too, excellent value for money.

Great price
Great price. Just bought a small version of this at the pet store to last until mine arrives from Amazon. I was shocked at the price at the pet store. Will continue to purchase the dried worms from Amazon way cheaper.
