Kuba-Kickz from Fury Products is the only non-lethal self defense tool available for your shoes. It fits above the tongue and between the laces of your shoe to provide a simple, lightweight, yet devastatingly effective non-lethal self defense tool. Anyone can use the Kuba-Kickz regardless of their level of self defense training. Quick kicks to an attacker's arms and legs can help you escape a dangerous assault; even a simple kick to the shins will have your assailant re-thinking the wisdom of choosing you for a target. Great for anyone who needs a light weight, unobtrusive and covert defense tool. Available in a number of coordinating colors. Buy two for added protection. 1" wide x 2.5" long x 1.25" tall.

As is, this thing is dangerous to your opponent as well as to your foot.
The base of this device should be increased in surface area significantly, such as to 1.75" x 2.5". Otherwise you have too small a surface area concentrating too much impact force on the top of your foot, an area which in general should not be subjected to that kind of force to begin with. 1.75" width would allow the device to sit on the outside ridge of the shoe (where the lace loops are) instead of directly on the tongue, which would help to distribute the force of the impact onto the shoe itself instead of onto the tongue and significantly mitigate the chance of your delicate foot bones sustaining damage.

Only comes with one
Maybe it was the fact that the name of the item is plural, maybe it was the price, maybe it was the fact that most humans have two feet...but I thought I was paying for two of these. And at almost $16, that would make sense (especially given the fact that it's just a piece of hard plastic). But no, just one. I mean, it's a solid piece of gear, but I never would have spent $16 if I knew I was only getting one of these.

Peace of Mind
I almost gave these only 4 stars, because they come separately, instead of in sets of 2, like shoes do. They do not look that discreet to me, but I figure feet are not what people look at when they are trying to see what move you might make in a self-defense situation, which is what I got this for. I find the peace of mind of knowing you have a little surprise help at your beck and call to be worth a LOT, so I am glad to have one. I will now get another for the other shoe....maybe more. I like the idea of having something unexpected that WILL hurt someone in situations where you need to do that. If you don't think you can really full on commit to hurting an attacker, don't get these. But if you are willing to do what you gotta do, these will be useful. I recommend also the ones you can use as s ring, to scratch someone's face too. If you have to defend yourself, every edge you have will help you.

Good basic
Just put them on your boots and forget about them. You can barely see them on the ones I have them on, they are laced in & stay there just as a back up. This order only contains one, but most of us have a dominant leg, so that's fine. Obviously if you wanted one on each foot, you can just order two.The angle of the holes isn't great, they should be like loops so your laces can go through them, otherwise it's a production to take your boots on & off. Mine are just held on by being wedged in & the laces figure 8 over the spikes, but it would be more secure if the design were better on that end.

Simple, affordable, and effective
They're simple, they're easy to put into place, they're easy to use (if you can kick with your instep, then there you go), and they really don't attract anyone's attention, especially if you're wearing black shoes (they just blend right in visually). The only gripe I have is that the somewhat sharp, pointy tips are something you need to be wary of in everyday life, as more than once I've uncomfortably poked or scratched myself with them while putting my shoes on/taking them off or if I tuck a foot under myself while sitting in a chair. They kind of snag on things sometimes, and again they're kind of pokey, so be careful around playful pets or kids or whatever.Otherwise, these are something you can easily put on your jogging shoes and have immediately at the ready for defense against aggressive dogs or humans. Likewise, you could always wear these if you go to the bar and you either can't legally or just don't want to carry something like pepper spray or whatever as insurance against rowdy drunks.

Senior feelin' safer out and about.
I am a senior lady, and I can't punch hard, or run fast, but I CAN kick! I have my dominent, stronger leg which I would naturally kick with, so I put it on that shoe. I got 2 of these, one for each of my 2 pair of 'going out' shoes. I chose the Clear, as they would go with every other color shoe. I figure that these will leave very distinctive bruises for identification of a person, if I ever kick out. My legs are my strongest 'weapon'. And now my strength is reinforced.

Cool idea. Not sure how useful though
It's pretty dang cool. Not sure how effective they would be but if you give someone a roundhouse kick im sure it would hurt a little bit more, but I would normally attempt to kick somebody with the shin (as is normal and good form) and im not even sure most people would kick another person in a life or death situation, but you can't blame the company for that. It's a pretty innovative product which I think would work (in theory at least) and I don't think I "regret" the purchase. However, god knows if i'll ever really use these things (hopefully I never need to of course) and i'd honestly sell them a bit cheaper as more of a novelty self defense item.

These go well with the Tec Stinger in each hand
I wouldn't mind these being a bit smaller so they are less visible because I think even at half there size they would still hurt. They are made of super tough plastic and the tip is sharp. Unlike the picture shows, you can lace the show or boot laces through the holes in the kuba kickz for a much stronger hold to the shoe. These give me more confidence that my kicks will do damage even on a slipping blow, so these are nice confidence boosters. But I wouldn't kick someone in a vital place with these unless they had a gun or knife and even at that I would try to put down and secure the opponent rather then try to end their life. One thing I learned from being in the ring, you don't have to hurt the opponent too badly, just make them submit and that's usually enough to defuse the situation, unless the attackers crazy. If you want to make these less visible, you can grind them down a little bit so they're less noticeable but still dangerous.

Very strong and probably very painful
I haven't had to use these, and hopefully I never will, but I feel confident that if I do, they will do the job just fine. I pressed them into my own skin just to have a feel, and even that light effort hurt, so I can only imagine when they feel like launched with force into someone's shin or groin!I have them laced into my walking boots. Just having them on me makes me feel a bit safer and less helpless when out and about by myself. The clear colour is actually very noticeable, so I just 'painted' them with a black magic marker. Voila! Hardly noticeable now on my boots. If I can get a hold of another set (a lot of American products are hard to get in the UK, and/or super expensive), I will buy them for another pair of shoes so I don't have to unlace and relace when I want to wear different shoes.I recommend that every woman have at least one pair of these!

Love this little guy
Love this little guy. Even though you are only paying for one and they don't mention it in the description I'm fine with it. It is a hard military grade plastic. Low profile and blends in really well with my boots. Bit smaller than I was expecting but deadly as all get out. Fits perfectly on my right boot and even though I took Taekwondo and fight with both my right and left legs I prefer my right side because it is more dominant and powerful. Great addition to my self defense would definitely buy again

Amazing Product
I love these sturdy self defense tools so much I had to go out and buy another one in a different colour. Just a warning to new buyers when you purchase one you get only one, not a pair of them. And they are fairly small but are made to fit on the laces of your boots very well

5 stars
Very nice and lightwueight but I feel like you got a weave your shoelace through the holes and through the spikes around the spikes to really get them to fit on your shoe firmly without them rocking side to side or up and down and that also has a little bit of additional padding to your foot cuz if you kick something with these on it will kind of hurt it's something that you should get used to but whatever you're hitting feel that pain a hundred times more

This is only one item
Buyer beware, you'll need to buy this twice if you want to fit a pair of shoes or boots. I have no complaints about the product itself, it seemed very sturdy and well built. I was disappointed to only receive one unit though, I feel like that should be more explicitly stated in the item description.

It fits nice a snug around the laces of by shoes
Came as described relatively fast, only comes with a single kick though, so that's disappointing. I read the other reviews before I bought this so I knew what I was getting into. It fits nice a snug around the laces of by shoes, and you can't even feel it's there! Absolutely no one has noticed or brought it up yet, so it is definitely covert.

Muy funcional
Me parece perfecto, funcional y discreto, considero que deberían venir 2 para usarlos en ambos pies y no solo uno.Parece que es de material resistente y buena calidad.

Poorly Explain Wedsite
Nice product, but the overpriced for one item of this size made of plastic. When I bought my Tactical Kuba-Kickz, at no time did the Amazon.ca on their website explain that this item was sold separately. The rest of the retail would sell items that attach to footwear in pairs.signedNot Happy

Buen producto.
Muy práctico. No se nota al cubrirse el zapato con el pantalón. Puede fijarse bien al zapato de agujeta. No estorba al caminar.
