Hi Amanda, I tried a 4 foot base (4 foot copper pipe length) which wasn't big enough to sit under & then a 6ft base which was too large for my room. I now have a 5 foot base which works perfectly. I bought the copper pipes from a local plumbing shop for very little cost.
