One of the best bike lights I’ve used, but…
Light and having the extra rechargeable batteries have been great. The light really works on the night rides I’ve been on. The only issue I have is that it doesn’t fit near the center of my bar that’s 35mm. I’m able to center on my 31mm.

Missed opportunities sabotage what could be a terrific light
It's bright, and the mount seems solid enough. But there are three important design flaws that keep it from being excellent. The first flaw is the lack of a charging port and charge controller in the light. Having to pull the battery pack, remove the batteries, and plug the batteries into a separate charger is pretty ridiculous, and means that if you want to recharge the light you have to carry an extra 18650 cell charging device along with you. For this, i've docked one star. The second flaw is that the mount is not reversible. The mount has a fairly long screw that points down. I wanted to install the light on a handlebar extension bar off to one side, but discovered that this placed the screw where it would jab into my hand if i place it on the flat part of the bar. Shouldn't be a problem: i notice that there are screws holding the mounting track to the light so i should be able to flip the track around 180° to put the screw on the other side of the extension bar. But this plan is thwarted by the bizarre decision to drill the mounting holes for the track in an asymmetric way, meaning there is only one way to attach the track to the light. The body casting also has relief in it that makes the track only fit one way. I've attached a photo so you can see the issue. It would have been trivial to drill an extra hole and make the relief symmetric so that the track could be reversed, and plenty of bike lights are designed to allow reversal of the mount. Furthermore, making the track go on only one way is a fundamentally intentional choice that is baffling in its intent. For this, i've docked two stars because it is just plain stupid. The third flaw is that the power button has no relief around it to prevent it from being actuated accidentally. So if you put the light in a bag, it *will* turn on unless you remove the battery pack. The part that holds this power button is a custom casting that could trivially have been extended up to surround the button on all sides. A photo is attached. For this, i've docked one star.If only this light didn't have these glaring flaws self-sabotaged into it, it could be a perfect product. Very frustrating.

Bad Battery
I ordered this product 2 weeks ago. When it arrived, I attempted to charge the batteries for initial use and 1 of the 4 batteries will not hold a charge - which means that despite paying almost $50 extra for the unit that came with 2 sets of batteries, I now have only one set that works. I responded to the manufacturer through Amazon's help site and have yet to hear back. All I wanted was 1 replacement set of batteries so I would get what I paid for and that doesn't seem to be happening. Other than the bad battery, the unit seems to work fine and puts out a nice stream of light.

Bright, should last, but the remote is finicky.
Overall, this is a good bike headlight after testing it for 1 week. I bought it as 2nd headlight to compliment my Nitecore BR35 light for commuting on e-bike for 2 hours a day total. What I liked about BC30 V2.0 light:- Replaceable batteries, so I hope I will last for the lifetime ofLED lights.- Bright enough for speeds up to 30 m/h (faster with 2 lights).- Brightness can be briefly doubled with a wireless remote only(This is helpful, but the duration of this turbo mode is maximum 30seconds, and this mode disabled when the battery charge indicator is orange or red).- The battery compartment, especially the cover is very well built.Cons:- The biggest issue I found with the remote. The remote didn't work, and when I returned the light for full refund and purchased a new one of the same model, the remote worked at first, and then stopped working. I discovered it seems to be a design flaw that can be easily corrected. The problem was the poor contact with the "+" of the button battery, and the contact was assured after I bent the terminal of the remote (it is kind of flimsy) inward.- The mount could be more robust, it is Ok for riding on pavement, but I am not sure if it will be secure enough for rough trail.- The 18650 batteries (I purchased Nitecore batteries separately) lasted probably less than 2 hours on high (1400 lumens), but they worked for me for 1 hour on high and 1 hour blinking mode. I have to recharge them daily.- The battery status LED changes color from green to orange to red, as described in the manual, but this gives you just a rough idea of the remaining charge.- Relatively high cost (about $150-170) with 2 pairs of batteries anda charger.- Customer service at Fenix lightning was Ok, but could be better. They just provided the same instructions as in the manual or video on the product page, although I described I followed these instructions. The manufacturer customer service was not aware of the design flaw, the communication was slow as I was asked to provide a S/N, which didn't match their database records. Finally, if you wonder which bike light is better - Fenix BC30 V2.0 or Nitecore BR35, the Nitecore is definitely better while it was $20-40 cheaper. This Nitecore light has a narrower beam so it illuminates a bit longer path, and the charge lasts about twice longer. The mount of the Nitecore is sturdier. However, the selling point of the Fenix BC30 is that you can have unlimited supply of charged batteries with you, and the Fenix light will likely outlast Nitecore which has built-in battery. It is also a good 2nd light to have.Overall, this light is recommended, although its price is somewhat high.

Survived 358-Mile TNGA
This light was excellent. Survived absolutely brutal conditions during the 2022 TNGA cross-country race. Batteries lasted a long time as well. Had a little bit of issues getting it to stay upright but eventually wrapped trons of tape around bars and that helped.
