Brinno KNS100 Knocking Sensor for PHV1330 Hidden Front Door Camera

I am very unsatisfied with this product. The instructions what little there were, were fine for installation. But when I installed the sensor the camera which I love was set to always on and did not detect any knock at the door. I removed the sensor and put it in my sock drawer knowing I would never get my problem resolved.

I live alone in an apartment and I've had no way to view who was knocking at my front door. I installed a Brinno "peep-hole" viewer with a 2.5 inch screen and it works great. When I installed the viewer I paid extra and installed this "knock" sensor also. It works as described in the advertisement, and has been well worth it's use. However, I wish Brinno made a "motion detection" add-on like this that would detect motion through the peep hole instead of having to add another device on the wall outside my apartment. My apartment opens to an outside stairwell and I've actually seen some persons try to look backward through my peephole without knocking. The pictures I got of their eyeball was when they accidentally bumped the door. Yes, the knock sensor is that sensitive, it even senses when I turn the key in the door lock. Yes, I have lots of pictures of myself. Another help has been that while I am away from home it records who has knocked on my door. This recording alerted me that a package was delivered down at the apartment complex front office. Of course, FedEx doesn't deliver and the same for the USPS, but UPS always brings my packages to my door and will leave a note if I'm not home. But some of the kids in the neighborhood or the weather will take the note off my door. By reviewing the pictures I know that UPS had delivered or that a friend has stopped by while I was away. But it works as advertised and I'm content with it.

Works good but a little sensitive. It takes pictures each time the door is opened so I see pictures of my wife and I more than I do visitors, but I would rather have that than none at all.

I purchased this sensor in order to better detect who was at the door. However, with the sensor in place I can no longer push the button to view through the peep hole as a simple push is now detected as a knock on the door.

People knock and it doesn't activate the viewer. I open the door and it activates the viewer. Wish there was a way to adjust the sensitivity.

Did not work when we needed it. We had someone try to break down my door and it did not Take a picture. More than 3 to 4 second delay. Disappointed.

A MUST HAVE WITH THE BRINNO FRONT DOOR PEEPHOLE CAMERA....SLIP IT IN THE BACK AND IT'S GOOD TO GO...WORKS EVERY TIME. JUST DON'T JAR THE DOOR ....IT''S FOR KNOCKING NOT BANGING ON YOUR WAY OUT OR IN!

It doesn't work. Additionally the camera that I purchased worked for a month. At this time it only takes video if someone opens the door.

Kommt aus USA wo man offenbar keine Klingel kennt sondern noch an die Tür klopft. Denn nur dann reagiert der Sensor.Besser wäre Näherungsschalter - aber auch nur, wenn der nicht so auffällig in den Angeboten anderer Hersteller von aussen sichtbar wäre. Also, Finger weg davon!
