DO NOT BUY A SONY TELEVISION
I've owned Sony televisions for well over 20 years now, and purchased the Z8H from Amazon in October 2020. Now, three months after the warranty expired, the picture has failed. It displays only a set of vertical gray, white, and black lines (see photo). I attempted several power resets with no change, although after the third reset the television would not turn on at all; instead the power light flashed red in a five-flash sequence. After letting the television sit unplugged for 10 minutes or so, the red flashing light went away and the TV would turn on again, but the gray / white / black lines remained the same. Sony on-line customer service was essentially useless, giving me the same information that was already posted in the FAQs (unplug the TV for 2 minutes). They also do not have ANY certified Sony Repair Technicians located in San Diego (the closest is in LA, at least 2 hours away). The customer service rep said that I would have to call the servicer in LA for repair options, and that there was nothing else he could do to assist. But upon calling, I was informed that San Diego is not included in their servicing area. So the bottom line is I spent $6000.00 on what was supposed to be a top-of-the-line television, it failed after 15 months, and Sony will do nothing? Lesson Learned: I will never purchase another Sony product. DO NOT BUY A SONY TELEVISION.

Was good for about 2 years, now this...
The media could not be loaded. Sorry but when you pay $4k for a TV you expect it to last more than 2 years. How frustrating, you're better than this Sony

Solid TV
Beautiful tv but very heavy and problem with upscaling. Theirs a shimmering on certain objects. Sony says they will send a firmware update in future. Also the blacks are not deep enough.

DO NOT PURCHASE THIS TVAfter spending thousands of dollars on a TV that's supposed to be cutting-edge, the display panel has already faulted after only 2 years. Sony customer service is also awful, to say the least. There are no certified Sony technicians in Austin TX, and only 2 in the entire state of Texas! We were doomed from the start. They will do nothing to help you simply because your 1 year warranty expired; despite being a loyal Sony customer for years. Extremely disappointed. They set you up to fail, and keep all your money.

The TV is excellent the one star review is because of the service tried to order this many times Amazon refused to send it and cancel the order they made me jump through so many hoops I just gave up and decided to drive an hour and a half trip to a larger city where I could buy it over the counter I reiterate this TV is excellent it's Customer service for the device that sucks in this situation

Have enjoyed Sony products for years. Have not had much luck with the Bravia. Purchased Aug12,2021 and exactly 13 months after purchase this is what I am faced with. It is no longer on warranty. Being a Sony, I expected it to last a lot longer. As Sony at one time did represent quality. Now I am faced with a repair bill as I did not purchase the extended warranty. Spending thousands on a Sony TV may not be worth it anymore. I will not purchase a Sony product, again. Very, Very disappointed in their customer service and care.
