I bought this earlier this year and have gotten a lot more use out of it than I had expected! The nylon/waterproof side stays pretty clean and doesn't seem to attract too much dirt and grime. The flocked/flannel side is soft and comfortable, even in the summer (your skin doesn't stick to it!). The attached handle is really handy and entire blanket folds into a compact package that easily fit into my tote. The mat/blanket isn't flimsy and stays put pretty well, even in wind - I just used a shoe on each corner to anchor it in place. I even took this on a long hike through Iceland. This years, it's been used for picnics in London parks, outdoor movies by the riverbank, and as an 'emergency' playmate for a friend's baby.

The size of this mat is pretty good, and easy to be folded. The mat smells really bad when I first open it, but it was OK after I let it outside for a day. The material is really thin, you will have to either sit on it or put weights (anything heavy) on it, otherwise, it will be blown away easily.

Great size and good quality picnic blanket. Wipes clean easily and sand shakes off with no problem. Folds back up with no problem.The only issue is the wickedly strong chemical odor when it first arrives. Make sure you have plenty of time to air it out and spray it with an odor eliminator before using it. It's one of those smells that is so strong you think you can taste it!

It does its job. Normally smells don't bother me, but this product stunk up my whole house when I opened it. I washed it and left it outside for a week. The chemical smell is still strong and won't go away. It is now living outside as a makeshift tarp covering. Very disappointed.

It's waterproof alright but this is no blanket. It's more of a tarp and it looks like some of the stiching is going to give out. It even feels like a tarp and NOTHING like a blanket.

Great product for the price. Durable, and large enough to fit 4-5 people.

A little flimsier than I thought it would be, so you definitely need to hold the mat down with things on the corners, but the size is great and can fit plenty of my friends on it! Haven't tried it on sand yet but I'm hoping the winds won't blow it away.

The Kapoo Beach Picnic blanket is a great buy. I keep it in my trunk at all times in the event I take the kids to the park. It folds so compactly that it takes no space at all. You would never think that the blanket would be so large when unfolded, but it comfortably accomodates two adults and two small children. The material stays mess free since its waterproof. I would recommend this product.
