Q: Is the edge itself sharp enough that I could hold this firmly on top of rosin paper on the floor and tear the paper along to Kapro to cut it?

The edge is very sturdy, however I wouldn't call it "sharp". I haven't tried tearing rosin paper which I think is fairly thick.

Q: Does this ruler have markings in inches and or metric?

The ruler markings are in inches. There is a metric conversion table printed on the back of the level for handy reference.

Q: What is the Overall length of the 32” model?
