Bought it for my husband after the hot spells we had in the San Francisco Bay Area towards the end of summer. His bulky, fuzzy robe made him look like he was in a sauna. He even said he wished he had one of those kimonos he was given to wear at a resort where we stayed in Japan where everyone wore a yukata (an under-kimono) everywhere -- out to dinner in the resort, to the baths, to play pachinko, to go site seeing, everywhere! It is comfortable and lightweight and it's up to you what (if anything) you wear underneath. I bought it for his birthday. He was glad to get an original and he's very happy with it.I also machine washed and dried it and it came out beautifully.

Feels a little large, which probably means it's the right size. I'm a big guy (6'2'' and 260 lbs) and many yukata just don't wrap around enough. This one wraps just like the picture. I call it somewhat large due to contrast effect. The fabric is excellent, and the belt is sown into one sleeve just like it's supposed to be. Looks sharp too. Those are fine stripes making up that color. Get a real obi if you want a more formal look. Finally found a vendor who sells Japanese wear for Americans.

Measurements described for product are accurate. I'm a tall, large person especially for Japanese standards, but wanted to replace a years-old Kimono I've worn. Kimono Japan Men's Easy had a good assortment and as I said, the size I ordered was perfect for me. I took a month to receive it, but worth the wait now that I can wear it.

This is a. Authentic Japanese yukata, meaning informal robe. I love their cotton!I am a 5’6” female who uses these as travel robes. They fit so easily into my suitcase. They lay flat and take up almost no room.This would easily fit a MUCH larger person, but I buy them this large for the length.Love the very cool Sumo wrestlers.It’s a great purchase.

This is a full length garment. I am very pleased. The shipping was very fast from Japan to USA. I would purchase again. This is my 4th yukata since the 1980's[they do wear out]; I had been wanting another one for many years. I am 5'9" tall. The garment seemed quite long at first. After the first wash, it shrunk to a good length for me.
