After comparing lots of other devices, picked this one as it seemed the most up to date, including touch screen and all for just under £20.Worked well right out of the box and connected with the outside transmitter with no problems. However, it took many attempts to get the outside sensor placed in the right position. First thing to note is that the outside sensor is NOT weather proof and needs to be at least protected from direct rain. I made a small wooden "shelter" for the device which basically protects it from direct rain but at the same time leaves it open to the atmosphere - my "shelter" looks a bit like a small bird box with sloping "roof". The next thing is to get the positioning right. Needs to be out of direct sun and also away from the house as house bricks act like a radiator and cause the outside temp to be too high. Managed to find a spot on the rear fence of the garden which is alway in shade but in direct line with the main device in the house. Am now satisfied that the inside and outside temp readings are acceptable - with a degree measured with a commercial thermometer. All in all, it seems to be a good little device and not too expensive. Time will tell if the outside sensor stands the test of time. Hope this helps. I know I spent ages trying to decide which one to buy. As I say, I am pleased at theUpdate: 12/2/21. The outside unit has stopped working. Replaced batteries which were themselves fairly new but this made no difference. This was my big concern - how long would the outside sender last? Bought this product 23/5/21 and I don't think that is an acceptable length of service. I will now approach supplier to see how they respond to the issue. Will update in due course.Update Feb 2021 After receiving prompt advice from supplier a simple reset solved the problem. Device now working normally again.

A very reasonably priced unit. Works quite well. Only a couple of criticisms, and minor ones.Firstly, if you are using it with multiple outdoor sensors (it supports three) the digit that shows you which one is currently displaying is rather small and difficult to see. The extra sensors seem a bit more pricey than the primary unit, but not outlandish.Secondly, the outdoor sensors are BLACK which means that the plastic case heats up in the sun. This means you must provide the sensor with additional shade to get an accurate temperature. Had they been white, the plastic case probably would have adequately protected the actual sensing device.

Nice bit of kit generally.Looks good and the display is excellent especially when the backlight is used,My only gripe is consistent with some other reviewers in that it's not particularly accurate.I've checked against a calibrated thermometer and the Indoor reading is pretty good; near to spot-on.However, the external readings are inaccurate with an error of at least 2ºC. This is after the instrument has been in use for 2 days, so it was well settled.So that's why I've dropped a star.

Great size not too big can sit on bedside table , looks great and has everything you need to know. Bought for my partner who cycles and is always checking the weather so this is perfect and gives lots of detail and gives accurate information. Would recommend.

Very useful item. Unfortunately the clock is very small and difficult to read, it is also not radio controlled. The instructions are a bit poor, as it records temp from three sensors in three different locations, and you need to fiddle with it a bit as it comes only with one additional sensor and you think it is not working, until you realise you are on the wrong sensor. Nearly returned it, until I realised I was on non exintance sensor number two!

It is simple to use and understand as I bought it for my parents and even they were able to understand. They liked big numbers which were easy to read. Just put your batteries in and it's ready to use. Compared it with ordinary thermometer and results were very similar. Due to the price, simplicity and accuracy it's worth 5 stars.

Had no problems setting this, no batteries included. Needs 5 x AAA. The reading seems accurate enough, and 2 more sensor can be bought if needed. Device has only 3 channels. All in all quite happy with itUpdate: The display unit bugs out after a long while and stops displaying external readings. And yes, I am on the correct channels, and external sensor is working. To fix, just reset the main unit by removing the battery for a second.

I wanted a wall hanging display I could read but looking at the display it faded unless from above looking down so no good. Faulty so sent it back.
