Awesome pastel pencils*****
Koh I noor Pastel pencils 48 set.Great make for all level of artists. Colours are rich, make little dust, lay smooth, blend easily also with other makes and types of pastel (stick, pans).Package ok normal card boxes. These are delivered in several boxes all mixed colours within plus a hand held sharpener. Delivery was fast and convenient .Dislikes ; none,.I’ve got several makes of pencil coloured ,pastel, water colour etc almost most high end makes, £200 plus some sets. These koh I noor are not expensive and are affordable come in different number packs 12,24,36,48,and some up to 72 depending on type. They are all compatible with other sets , they have a good size core and are central, sharpen well to, they are also good for the armature and professional artist, some people would say they are not up there with the higher value pencils , but , that’s wrong in my opinion. I totally think they are amongst the leading brands. Many reviews include this make and are at the top. Colours are vibrant and pop off the paper. I love this make in any medium. Highly recommended to anyone. I am a skilled professional artist, of all medium of more than 48 yrs. thanks for reading my review. If you like it and find it useful please tick the box under here. Thank you.

Blendable vibrant colour
Brought these pencils to do a mini workshop. These kept up brilliantly with the more expensive ones used by artist demonstrating and some of others sets too. They blended beautifully. Sharpened really well with the sharpener that had been included. No excess dust you occasionally get that can smear your work. Thoroughly enjoyed working with them.If there was any fault I'd only say they need to provide a colour chart that matches the pencils.whilst some on the one I downloaded did match numbers and shades others were complete guess work. Only an issue if doing a course that requires exact matches. But you can work out which is closest with a swatch card.Would definitely buy them again.

Terrible packaging
Chalk pastel pencils with a useful range of colours. Very good results on real pastelmat/sanded paper. Unfortunately no colour names on the pencil barrel ,will label those myself. Sharpen them only when necessary and with a blade finishing if required on abrasive paper. The point can also be kept sharp on the abrasive paper when needed. Don't use a pencil sharpener on chalk pastel pencils, not even the one that comes with these as you will destroy the pencil! Much slimmer than my favourite which is Conté and also somewhat softer. Supplied in dreadful packaging- four cardboard sleeves in a plastic bag inside an A4 card envelope without any further packing. This could be done so much better ensuring that the pencils arrive in good order. Mine seem to be intact, fortunately.

A reliable brand
I have bought this set of KOH-I-NOOR 48 soft pastel colour pencils six times because of their softness, richness in pigments and their choice of colours are so lovely! They’ve given me much joy in colouring even on xerox paper! It’s a reliable brand to me, I have bought other kinds of products including the artists’ lead sets of this brand also!

Good quality for the money
These pencils were really good value for money with a good array of colours. They were nice to work with and I could achieve a good build up of colour with them and were hard enough for good detail but found the white not great for highlighting over darker colours. The only thing that I didnt like is that they came in flimsy cardboard packets of 12. They were in no particular order and you can't see the colours. You have to take them all out the boxes at once to work with them which is time consuming and annoying. I would have happily paid a few quid extra to have them in a proper case or tin.
