Was hopeful this would be great. Construction seems good. Design is great. But the audio is full of pops and static when using on my Pixel 4 XL. I even tried multiple camera apps to test for software issues. Something isn't right. Don't waste your time.

No problems with the seller or the delivery But I just had a difficult time finding a compatible app for my Galaxy S9. I wanted an app for Audio Recording with Gain adjustment and every free app I installed resulted in a pure buzzing sound. Finally, I got the WaveEditor v1.82 and even then I had to turn off the noise suppression to get the high-quality microphonic sound I was expecting when I purchased the SmartMic

Works good and improves voice for interviews, but not quite as dramatic as I was hoping.Must plug in when osmo is off so it will automatically use it when turned on.

trying to get a decent mic for my android phone. I had such high hopes but this aint it. Completely ineffective windmuff. buzzing interference sound when operating. doesnt even sound stereo? SO disappointing especially at this price.

I was really excited to get this mic because of the ease of hooking it right to your phone. The day it arrived I hooked it up, set my phone in the holder and was about to start recording a video when my phone popped out of the holder and fell onto my carpeted floor. I guess it landed directly on the mic because when I picked it up, the mic connector had bent to the point that it fell off completely making the purchase totally worthless. I checked the warranty and of course my little mishap was not covered. So, that's $$$ not well spent and needless to say, I didn't replace it.

I would give this mic a 5 star if it worked with my Galaxy note 8. It works fine with my Galaxy Z Fold 2 but I use my note 8 for recording youtube videos.

For the Price, an exceptional value. It levels on the hot side, keeping voice even provides solid results.

My Phone is the Note 8.The mic i received was different from the one in the illustration, the illustration shows a added support "lip" which supports the edge of the mic by clipping onto the phone. However it does not have this "lip" so the whole thing is supported solely by the USB C port.( This might be ok for some but, , if the mic gets knocked at all, you risk damaging your C port! =£££££Secondly, I have done a direct comparison between the Rode VideoMic ME and this Saramonic SmartMIc+ UC and without doubt not only is the Rode less expensive, but it gives a much better result.Specifically, the SmartMic+ UC produces "noise"However, the Rode produces a very clean recording, and produces no "Noise" it's a no brainer, Choose the Rode VideoMic!! ( I did )
