Novelty Shiny Black German Biker Motorcycle Helmet (Large)

A quick word about this helmet. It's a novelty helmet, so my expectations were very low. To that end, I was not surprised one way or the other Basic construction and design is what I'd expect for something in the Novelty category. The chin strap is a cheaper nylon and not really comfortable, but does the job. There really is not any kind of foam inside, but more a padded felt type material. Overall, novelty helmet is what I got. At least I don't have that mushroom head look, right? So, for $10 more, you can get a DOT approved of the same style. The chin strap is actually quality and smooth and overall a significant step up in quality. But... mushroom head.My thoughts since I now own both styles: If $40.00 can get you a world class difference in quality, and you don't care about the mushroom head look, get a DOT German shorty. If you're willing to sacrifice a little comfort and a lot of safety to a cool slim profile look, get the novelty.

This black, German style novelty helmet was delivered just as described. Taking note that it is a "novelty" helmet and NOT D.O.T. approved, I do NOT recommend it as a replacement of a D.O.T. approved safety device but it is very comfortable to wear and in a state where helmets are optional, it does provide me with *some* level of comfort that I am not riding "bare headed".The quick latch/release strap is my favorite feature, as we have all struggled with the "double D ring" straps before. With this one, I can secure and release my helmet no matter what gloves I am wearing and based on how many "clicks" I hear when I secure it, I know it will fit me exactly the same each time I put it on.The helmet is shiny, stands out and I think it's a really cool way to "cover up" when your riding.Happy Trails!

I purchased a DOT Helmet in this style and put it on the shelf,it sat on my head like a mushroom,i needed something light for my commute to work so i took a chance on this one and to my surprise this turned out to be a great find,it's not DOT approved but it is fiberglass with plenty of padding a quick release closure(broke the first time i put it in use)but i like the D ring fasteners anyway,the retainer strap was a tad long so i cut it to size and burned the end with my lighter to stop fraying,I'm a Pittsburgh Steeler fan so i got some 3in logo's and some gold auto paint for the center stripe and it looks so good i can't keep my eyes off of it! This Helmet runs true to size,fit is snug and it has a chin pad for comfort,finish is of good quality for the price. good deal.

This helmet was a lot better than what I was expecting. The fit is strong, it does not slide back when riding fast, and the fastener is very different, but extremely convenient for a fast on and off helmet. It sits low and grips your head perfect. if anybody complains about this helmet sliding off, it's probably because they do not know how to measure their head. Just because something is categorized as "novelty", doesn't mean it should be made like s***, this helmet is where it's at, good job.

Husband liked fit XL. Delivery quick but had to return as I thought I ordered a black chrome instead of shiny black. Other than color, helmet was really good quality.

Out the box the rim cover was hanging off half the length of the helmet but i was able to apply glue and solved the problem. Fits low and snug just what i was expecting. Not street legal or safe.

I love the style and fit. It looks very good on me. Would buy again.

Excellent product and great price point. This NOVELTY helmet doesn't give you a "mushroom" head, looks cool and is pretty comfortable. Great purchase!
