PowerDirector 13 Deluxe

I initially purchased PowerDirector 13. The software wasn't particularly user-friendly to begin with, then after I had been using it for several months, it stopped working completely. Several online discussions with their tech support didn't fix the problem. I finally decided to buy the upgrade they offered to PowerDirector 15 (from the manufacturer, not through Amazon), hoping that would solve the problem. It didn't. (And the user-friendliness was unchanged in version 15.)More discussions with tech support - still no solution. They sent a long list of instructions for how to provide them my exact files and other info so they could try to figure it out. I finally decided that I don't have time to do that, and requested a refund for the upgrade (taking the loss on the initial purchase). But I was more than 30 days past the date of purchase, so they wouldn't give me a refund. I'm out the cost of the initial software and the upgrade, and I'm still going to uninstall this product and get something else.I WOULD NEVER BUY ANOTHER CYBERLINK PRODUCT.

A bit of a learning curve, but gets easier to use with each use. Much more stable for editing with Windows 10 than older version of Roxio Media Creator. No problems with program crashing. Only minor complaints is that minor editing of audio (fade in and out) requires jumping to the Wave Editor program, instead of it being incorporated like Roxio. Adding text to a image a bit more complicated than Roxio as well. But lots more features, and I really like the built-in link to their on-line Director Zone where you can download tons of additional user created templates.

terrible software. bought it to make simple highlight videos, yet the software is so non-intuitive and bulky it makes it aggravating and pointless to use. Went back to windows movie maker.

Difficult to use, but will manage.

It has many advanced features like smart rendering (svrt), image stabilization and particle generator. There is also a separate audio wave editor. No discounted upgrade for versions lower than 15. If you don't mind being limited to 1920x1080 resolution H.264 (no HEVC/H.265) then it's a great deal.

I attempted to make a video with PowerDirector 13 and was unable to. I use a digital video camera to take video clips and still pictures which I then use to make videos for YouTube. PowerDirector 13 would not upload material from the memory card from my camera. I looked through the directions and online for a solution to the problem and could find none. I can't make videos if I can't upload from a memory card. In my opinion this program is completely useless. I've gone back to using the video editing program that I was hoping to replace and am having moderate success with that.

Works great with my Windows 10 64-bit OS. Replaced an earlier version that stopped working after several OS updates.Very happy with Amazon's pricing. Feature set fits my needs for editing and video output.

IMPOSSIBLE TO REGISTER/ACTIVATE. To activate you'll be required to create CyberLink account and you need to expect email from them. Activation email is never sent, so you can't login(check spam-the email is not there). I tried with a different email but could not register my copy, because the product is registered with the initial email.CyberLink is only reachable for another $30.Hang on to your product copy- it'll expire in 30 days.CyberLink is a software company:)
