VeloxTressorex Cloth Handlebar Tape - Red

This is great classic tape. Easy to apply, really smooth finish, and doesn't feel sweaty during intense exercise. I've been using Velox tape for years and I imagine I will continue to do so. Compared to some other cloths, the end result is very smart looking, and the adhesive is excellent, it holds the tape very securely but doesn't leave too much residue behind on the bars.A couple of things to note - this is not padded or comfort tape, it's more suited to real "racing" use, particularly on the track. It also looks the part on a classic vintage bike build. It's also, I believe, intended to be replaced relatively regularly once it starts to get worn and/or discoloured from sweat. Also note that one roll is usually only enough to do one side of a set of handlebars.One really cool thing you can do with cloth tape like this, especially if you want that vintage look, is the so called "Harlequin" or "Diamond" wrap (many examples can be found via web search) where two or more contrasting colours are interwoven to create a patterned finish. This also has the advantage of being thicker and softer than a single layer of the tape. You will, of course, require more tape to do this, usually one roll of each colour per side. This tape is definitely a good cloth to do this with, it's got a nice stretchy feel that makes it pliable enough to get a really good finish if these patterns are to your liking.I also used some excess to re-wrap the handle of a sports racquet, and despite this not really being the intention of this tape, it works excellently and is very comfortable!
