This backpack features 10 Watts of solar power and a 19,800mAh battery pack which can charge laptops and USB devices. This is the only solar backpack available that can charge laptops. We hope this helps!

Yes it can charge a 17" asus laptop, though depending on the capacity of your specific laptop battery it may not recharge it from fully from 0-100% but get a majority of the way there instead. We recommend charging when it is asleep or turned off to charge more efficiently and quickly.

The backpack is not 100% waterproof. The fabric has a waterproof backing, but eventually water will come in through the zips. Keep in mind that in addition to using high quality materials and construction throughout the backpack, there is also a rugged solar panel and 88 Watt hour battery pack.
