EVO Herring & Salmon Cat Food 2.2 Pounds

The review is for the seller's price not the food. The food is very good food (5 stars) and it's very fishy smelling which your cat will love. However, I should have read the description more closely. Over $21 for 2 lbs of food is twice what you can get it for elsewhere. Even with Prime it's not worth that price. The price should be for a 5 lb bag.

I buy this food and the turkey+chicken flavor for my two ferrets. All of them love it! Evo is one of the best foods out there for ferrets and cats. It has a high protein and fat content, perfect for our little obligate carnivores!My only issue with buying this off Amazon is the price. I can get the 6lb bag of both of these flavors for $22 each at my local pet store. Why would I pay $19.74 for a 2lb bag?

I feel like I can't give this a super fair review cause I was trying it on my ferrets, who did not like it. I'm sure cats would be really into that incredibly permeating fishy odor but my boys were not on board. In fact they were so not into it that they wouldn't eat any food from their bowl (I mix a few different kinds) Normally when I add a new food they'll eat around it if they don't like it, but apparently this stuff tainted the whole food bowl.I like EVO chicken and turkey for them so I know that the brand isn't bad over all at least.

This food smelled rancid and my cats wouldn't eat it. I've had cats all my life, so I know that cat food stinks. This didn't just stink like fish, it smelled like rancid oil and rotten fish.

My cat loves it and leaves nothing behind, hence the 5 Star rating. Word of warning though. The Herring/Salmon flavor has a strong fish smell that some folk might not like. Though this is likely the reason my cat loves it.

EVO used to make cat treats that were herring, and my cat loved those treats. Since I can't find those treats anymore, I bought the cat food bag, and just grab pieces out of it to use as treats. My cat still loves those bits of food! Smells horrible though, but the cat is sweet, so I put up with the smell for that cat.

My elderly cat loves this food. She ignores many other popular foods, and some that she tries to eat upset her stomach. This food stays down, and I am grateful to have found it.

My cat is allergic to poultry products and this is one of the very few cat food items with no chicken or turkey meal ingredients.
