No, I returned the item! Actually to clarify, I thoughtI was gettin' the 'newer' version of the video pack forhalf the suggested retail. That issue contains 10 films& 30 documentaries. I spent the $399 plus tax for theupdate & was 'truly' satisfied. Reading some of the re-views here have me 'more encouraged' for TRUE 4K UHDcontent in the future since many of these offerings were'somewhat' downscaled!

The 3 documentaries are amazing. The movies are not in UHD 4K.
So, this overpriced unit is supposed to contain UHD 4K content. There are 3 Documentaries, and 5 Movies. All of these are supposed to be in glorious 4K. After spending 40 minutes with Samsung, going in circles, apparently their "support" just wants to say that they are showing at 4K resolution - so that means they are UHD. Well, the documentaries are amazing. But those 3 videos, about 45 minutes long each, are not what was supposed to make this $300. The 5 movies, one from 2007 were supposed to be a good part of this package. I am pretty sure that "Night at the Museum" from 2007 was not filmed in 4K. All the movies showed graininess, slight distortion, and lots of background noise (not audio noise). They look the same as an up-converted 1080p movie. I knew that there was limited 4K content out there - Netflix has some, usually only available through the TV apps, and YouTube has some short pieces.... but I just feel cheated after spending the money on my beautiful Samsung TV, which I would easily give 5 stars, that this UHD video pack is so expensive and simply does not live up to the expectation. I'm guessing the people that said it was a 5 star device, didn't have any 4K movies to compare it to, or couldn't compare it to the quality of an up-scaled movie to see what they simply were not getting. Save your money. The real 4K content will be available soon enough.

How to remove the annoying subtitles
If you get what you pay for, then they still owe me some more movies for purchasing this UHD video pack. I'll admit I was enamored being the first on my block to have a UHD tele with true UHD content, but as others have mentioned and I have read in reviews, you would be hard pressed to see the difference in quality between a HQ Blu-ray disc and the same movie in UHD on a 60" set. What can I say? It was an emotional purchase. The real reason I wrote this review is to help those out who also purchase the UHD video pack and experience the annoying close captioning subtitles that appear regardless of your overall CC settings on the TV. It appears the standard menu options don't apply to the UHD video pack, so you have to pause the movie and look over to the upper right-hand side of the on-screen play/pause/ff/rr buttons and click on the settings icon. This settings button will bring-up an independent sub-menu with an option for subtitles, and you simply have to change it from English (or your language) to off. Enjoy!

Expensive... But, Cool
Just got this on Thursday May 8th. Plug and play set up was extremely easy when connecting to my 2014 HU8550 UHD TV. Just plug in to the USB port and select USB source on tv. BAM! good to go. If you have a 2013 UHD TV (SAMSUNG ONLY) you must get the one connect box first, to make this pack work. While I will be the first to admit that paying $300 plus for 5 Full length feature films and 3 docus is foolish, they do look amazing. Samsung says that this UHD video pack needs to have internet access thru the tv. Not sure why, but my tv is connected to the net and this thing works well. Very limited instructions included.. Extremely annoying that subtitles are turned on from the factory however, after fooling around with it, I finally figured out how to shut them off. Cannot give any info on the supposed pay per view feature of this device (I don't see anything but the included content) Will update if I find this out. Basically this UHD pack is just a showcase of what 4k resolution looks like to show your friends, which as an early 4k adopter, I had to have. World War Z looks incredible!Update: 5/9/2014 after watching all the included content, I can say without reservation that the best looking film in 4k is X Men Origins: Wolverine.. Also, I found out from Samsung that the streaming service for 4k films will not be available until the release of the upcoming 2nd UHD pack later this Summer. Not available in this first pack.

Your UHD tv needs this!
Fantastic service from USA to UK. In three days! It's a very small and neat device, so you can plug into the blue USB 3 port and tuck out the way.You select USB from the input selections on screen then choose what you wish to watch from the folders displayed on screen.Yes out of the box subtitles are on, why? , but if you look at the top of the screen to the far right of the play , pause , stop icons you will see a small cog symbol ( this is the settings icon) select this and there is the option to turn subtitles off.Quality is outstanding. The documentaries are best, Grand Canyon , stands out here. The movies are better than any blu ray you have seen. I like World War Z , one of the newest so should be good,, plus some of the scenes were filmed here in the UK at our local reservoir ( which doubled as a South Korean military base in the movie. (Actually Brad Pit has been spotted last weekend in our local town as they are back filming the sequel at the same location )Any way I was diverging then. If you have spent £4000 on a 65 inch tv , $299 is a bargain to show friends and family what it can do. Without it it's like having a sports car that never gets out of third gear, Get One !!

Looks good, but if you are looking for 100gig files ...
these films are not actually 4k. 4k files are HUGE, so what you are getting here is compressed 4k files, some 10gig others 35gig, but nothing that i would consider mind blowing 4k content. Looks good, but if you are looking for 100gig files for a film you wont find it. this HDD only uses 135gigs of its 1T. that should tell you something.
