Just what I wanted, Narrow!
I love these bars they are straight, narrow(425mm), and they have a 25.4mm clamping area with a 22.2mm diameter on the rest of the bars to fit standard MTB components. The 450mm width listed is to the tips of the domed caps shown on the bars but minus the caps really the effective length on the bar is 425mm. on my bike I was able to fit 130mm ODI lockon grips, a pair of avid speed dial levers and a shimano trigger shifter although it is a bit cramped it does fit. I think these are great bars for city riding and you can cut through narrow gaps with ease. the bars are thick and very nicely made with a good gloss finish although you don't see much of them with the components mounted, I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Solid, but compact
These are well constructed and solid. That being said, these are really compact.I've got brakes and shifters on each side, and that's it.You lose the middle section because of the taper.I had to mount my tiny Garmin to my stem and trim my grips. If you're used to bars more in the 560 range, you can expect these to be pretty twitchy.

What I was looking for
I am trying to customize an old Motobecane road bike and wanted to change the handle bar from dropped one to straight one. This one definitely does the job and seems pretty sturdy. It just makes the handle at the size of my shoulders, and leave enough place to fit some shimano lever brakes, and some extra space for a small light or ring bell.

narrow
narrower than I expected, but that is my fault for not measuring. the stash compartment is pretty much useless unless you use it to keep a patch kit, mini syringe, or emergency cash.

Nice bar but don't lose the bar ends
I like this bar, but I lost one of the bar ends and haven't figured out what to put in its place. Typical plastic caps don't fit and the company said they don't offer replacements.

Riding through the city I always felt like I was gonna hit mirrors or get clipped by ...
I bought this bar to replace my old MTB riser bar on my commuter bike. Riding through the city I always felt like I was gonna hit mirrors or get clipped by a motorist. Also the riser made me sit back too far. The flat bar brings me down into the bike and now I feel locked in when I'm riding. But the narrow width is what I love the most about this bar. I did go with a brake/shifter combo to keep everything tight. This new setup makes my commute a whole new experience. Some reviewers thought the narrow bar made the steering response a little jerky. I however haven't had any such issues.

Good quality bars!
I stuck these bars on a hybrid I've been fixing up and they've stood up very well so far. The end caps screw off and back on and unless you were looking for it, you might not even notice that they screw off. I keep a few tube patches, some vulcanizing glue, and two mini tire levers in there, because leaving a seat bag on a bike while locked up in South Boston for six hours isn't generally a good idea.

Four Stars
It was a little shorter in length than I expected.
