Asics Fujitrail backpack- great value for money.
This is the third hydration pack I've tried in the last 4 years. I've had a Camelbak Ultra LR- too hot and sweaty on the lower lumbar area, the Mammut MTR 201 7L, which I still use, and now this Asics FujiTrail. The FujiTrail weighs 405 grams empty without hydration bladder, came with a 2L hydration bladder included, contrary to what a previous reviewer said, and has a heap of front pockets on the shoulder straps which you don't usually see on hydration vests/packs far more pricey from Nathan/Camelbak/Ultimate Direction. The Good:=======- Heaps of front shoulder strap pockets. This is the main reason I bought this pack, and they are very good. The two upper pockets can fit 500ml bottles, and when empty, actually fold in half and are held by velcro, so they don't flap around. You can also put things in them and fold in half and they won't jingle and move around. I put salt capsules in a small ziplock bag in one folded bottle pocket, and my house keys in the other. I don't use bottles so that's ok.The lower right shoulder strap pocket is a zipped pocket which fits my 4.8 inch screen Samsung K Zoom perfectly, and I can also fit my Olympus TG-850 weatherproof compact camera as well. The lower left shoulder strap pocket is a long deep stretchy mesh pocket. I don't use it much, but if I night hike I would probably put my right angle Thrunote TN20 flashlight there. - It can take a 3L water bladder. I removed the included 2L bladder and put my 3L Gerrigerrig (sp?). The water tube can come up either shoulder strap through a short tube in the shoulder strap.- very secure- it has x2 sternum straps and one waist strap. These three are adjustable in length, as are the two side straps.- value for money. The Less Good:===========- Questionable durability. The top of each upper bottle pocket also comes with a spring locked elastic cord. The one on the left has already come out.- Black doesn't look so good, to my eyes.- stuffy at the back. The back panel is divided into thirds. the outer thirds are padded mesh. The inner third is just a plastic sheet.- Main compartment opens at the top, so have to dig deep to find stuff. And being black, it's harder to see the contents too. There is a side opening smaller compartment, so you can put things thereinstead if you wish.- the lower left and right have these two small zippered pockets. They are more triangle in shape and there are some things that won't fit easily. I've tried to put credit card sized cards and a handful of notes in, and it only just fits, after a tussle with the zipper.- I don't know how some of the more expensive brands do it, but you can wear their backpacks for hours and hours on end with no pain on the shoulders. Yesterday I wore this at a bike rally and my right shoulder started hurting after wearing it continuously for 3 hours.I had my compact camera in the bottle pocket. When I have my phone on the right shoulder strap pocket (phone weighs 205grams), I never have pain.So overall it's a great great value for money. Fantastic features, great price. Not perfect but you'd have to pay 4-8 times as much to get x2-3 times improvement.

Great Running Pack
Great running pack, this is a great running pack and inexpensive, and just as good if not better than the name brand. Lots of pockets, it hold a 1.5 too 2.0 Litter bladder perfectly. It can hold a jacket, hat, gloves, power bars and phone in front pouch. The fits is great as well. The only thing it needs is compression straps to stable load, but most running packs experience "bounce". All in all; its a fine little pack
