Cushy Seat Cushion
I purchased this back in August 2017 and have been using it daily ever since. It's a great, cushy product that has held up well over time. I paid around $29.50 back then, but I’ve noticed the price has gone up quite a bit since.

A life saver when back is bad and I have to drive bumpy roads.
Have now had this for a long time, and it has saved me from pain in my behind and back. It especially works well on bumpy roads. It has been a lifesaver when I have had to bring it somewhere with me, especially somewhere with wooden seats. I have not noticed any smell.

Excellent chair cushion
Makes a wheelchair much more comfortable. I purchased one for my husband three or four years ago. Recently my brother in-law borrowed it while we were on a vacation trip, and he liked it so well I bought one for him. Very sturdy and well made. Definitely worth the price.

Does what I want it to do at least....
So I bought this because my tailbone hurts when sitting on my chair for long periods of time which my job basically requires me to do. The cutout on the back of the cushion did exactly what I wanted which was relieve me of that pain, so that's great and I got what I wanted out of this. So why am I giving this 3 stars?Well the tailbone isn't the only thing that matters. I mean when you sit on a cushion you want your entire bottom to be comfortable, which this cushion does not achieve. I didn't have high hopes because the words "memory foam" just stick out to me as something people use to sell something that they want others to think is comfortable but isn't actually comfortable. This cushion just gets squished extremely easily and as such, the soft foam just becomes a solid block of compressed foam which is basically as comfortable as sitting on plywood. So while my tailbone is comfortable now, the rest of my bottom is just extremely uncomfortable, bordering on being on pain. Along with that, it slightly cuts off some blood circulation by pressing up on the back of my thighs. I'm only about 170 lbs which isn't that unreasonable I'd imagine so this isn't great.Do I recommend this? Not really. Unless you're desperate to relieve some tailbone pain for cheap, I can't suggest buying this product.

Relief!
This is my busy time of year with work, seven days a week at the computer. My chair is great on it's own, except when working so much. I don't have back problems at the moment, so I don't know how it would work for that. I did, however, have terribly sore behind from sitting all day every day. I've been using this cushion for about ten days. As some reviewers indicated, the front does get compressed. This does not diminish the comfort. Each day starts the same, the cushion is firm. As I sit, the cushion warms up and provides the perfect comfort level as it adjusts. No more pain by mid day. You may need to adjust your chair height as the cushion adds a bit of height.Update: I have owned my original chair cushion for close to three years. Just purchased a new one. Old cushion is still in OK condition, flattened to 1 1/2 inches from seam to seam in center of each thigh segment. Back is still at 2 inches and does provide some support. (Note: measurements were taken when I got up from seat after sitting continuously for one hour.) Overall, I feel the cushion is compressing and should be replaced. Just short of three years is beyond a satisfactory life considering daily use. I compared original to new that arrived yesterday. The old one has held up quite well. While there is compression, it's not as bad as one would expect for almost three years of use. And the cover of the cusion is in good shape for it's age and wear.

Really has saved my lower back pain when sitting at my desk!
After getting this, along with the lumbar support for the back of my chair, there is no chair ever as comfortable as is with this one. I carry them to any chair in my house I am sitting on. The only downside is you can't squish it thin and carry it everywhere you go! I do also use it for sitting on my bed. It does seem hard at first, but you have to get used to it. You have to accept that your pain sucks, and it is worth adapting to a big cushion blob on your chair, to end the pain. Give it a few days to break in a bit and you will love it! BTW, I am 5'7, 120 lbs. If you are wondering if it would fit, check the width measurement of it, and you can see how wide it is. I don't know if someone who is wider than the width of the cushion could enjoy it, as your hips/thighs might hang over the edges and would feel weird. The hole in the back seems to be the secret to how this relieves pain, as there is no pressure on the tailbone area when using this. There really isn't any DIY sort of method I can imagine that would work this well. And the lumbar support is also super necessary for sitting at a desk chair! It forces you to sit up with better posture - also takes getting used to if you slouch - but come on people. You can't complain about back pain if you don't accept you need to change how you sit and invest in the "my body is getting old and now I am that person who needs a support cushion and cannot sit in weird positions like I did the first 37 years of my life" cushion. On the plus side, you don't need a fancy new desk chair, because this turns any Ikea crap chair into a super comfortable supportive high-end feeling chair.
