Derale 15405 Engine Oil Cooler Kit

The installation was easy enough to do for a shade tree mechanic, the parts quality feels great, it had enough adapters it seemed like it would work for many different cars. How effective it is I can't say, I don't monitor engine oil temps, and it did not make any noticeable difference in coolant temperatures, partly because it dumps the head right back into the radiator, unless you can mount it where the rejected heat won't go back into the system.

I installed this on my stoker engine to control oil temps and it works great.The kit included everything needed and all items are quality and made in the USA.

I bough this to mount in my 2013 ram 1500 Laramie. It was cheaper to buy the kit vs the cooler or adapter separately. I've not installed it but it's a pretty straightforward installation. If you are not familiar with cars this may be a job best suited for a pro. I've read on the tab forum the last two generations of rams run hot so perhaps this will help.

What a disappointment... Product says fit most of the vehicle.. Install onto my Subaru Forester XT and there is a small millimeters gap after installing the oil filter.. Hence oil spill out.. The design of the thermostatic is a joke..Ive emailed Derale and they recommend me to use another Oil Filter size that is larger in sizeIf you are planning to buy for Subaru FA20DIT engine, BRZ or Forester be warn!

works great on my Silverado 5.3L. I placed it in-line with the existing oil cooler lines that ran to the radiator.

Easy installation on my '95 GMC K1500.
