ATV winch
Works perfect, the only thing I questioned was the unit was not brand new, it appears to have been a returned unit. The wires had the appearance of being previously connected and the winch had some paint chips missing on the housing and base. I tested the unit before it was installed and it worked as intended, so I installed it.

Great winch!
I purchased this winch for Polaris RZR 570 and I couldn't be happier that I did. I've had it installed for about a month and so far I've had no issues with it. As a matter of fact, it actually paid for itself on my first ride out. Due to conflicting work schedules with my friends, I tend to ride solo quite a bit. On my first trip out with the winch I encountered a marshy sand bar that turned out to be a lot nastier than it looked. I used a tree saver strap to hook up to a nearby tree and within a few seconds the Superwinch had me out of the mud and back to riding. I've used it two or three times since and it's worked flawlessly every time I've called on it. It works smoothly, quietly, and quickly. Installation was simple and I did it all myself in a few hours. The most time consuming part was running the wires so that they were hidden for a clean installation. For the money you won't find a better winch for your UTV/ATV!

One suggestion...
Much like everyone has said about this winch, the circuit breaker is non insulated. It's really kind of an awkward size to try an hide. Would have rathered the placement of it along the B+ lead been more toward the battery side. Not a big deal, just make hiding it a bit of a challenge. I understand they try to make these kits as universal as possible so I get it. My suggestion is to buy some liquid electrical tape and coat that bad boy up. Where I installed mine there wasn't much metal around it, but it gives me the added piece of mind. And if I ever need to get to it, I would probably just replace it with something a little nicer. Overall, looks like a good quality product. I'll update my review the next time I get stuck.UPDATEHve used this thing about a dozen times. Works very nice. Gotten me unstuck out of some serious mud. With the frame dragging the ground going uphill. Amazing little winch. Even pulled out a Razor once. I was a little nervous using it under water the first time but it did great! Half the time i get stuck im under mud. So nice that it works when submerged. Highly recommend. Wouldn't get anything under 3000lb though. It strains occasionally under high load.

Nice Winch
This is my 2nd winch for my 4 wheeler and although I have not used it in the field yet, it seems to be VERY well built and easy to use. Its so nice having something worth the money and when you consider the cost, time , and confidence it brings its all WORTH it. Now for the not so good report. The mount is generic and basically worthless, I think all of them are really, so it is almost a must to buy the custom made mount. It will save you time and frustration for sure. The instructions are not very well at all. They can't make a book on every ATV but they sure could make the instructions a bit better and bigger to read. I made it through the process but I am familiar with these type things so I worked through it but I am sure its a PITA for many others. And finally the circuit breakers that are built into the hot/red battery cable are the worse thing anybody could do because the cable end bolts are EXPOSED. Its like having a bare red wire hanging around metal frames and other objects just waiting to short out. I used electrical tape to wrap it all up and safely snugged it up to the frame with pull ties but gezzzzzus, shouldn't the manufacture have known this would be a issue? Other then these 3 negatives, everything else seems to be a very nice outfit. We'll see how it works after the next snow plowing and/or trail ride.

Very Happy With This Winch
Great winch, better deal than the Smittybuilt, they pretty much look like the same unit. The Smitty claims 4k but line speeds in use and everything seem the same just from side by side comparison on pulling roughly the same load. The drum spacing is better on the Superwinch and the line does not get tangled between the housing and drum. The instructions were good and easy to install, the only thing I did not like was the positive supply cable breaker which has no protection from grounding out and you have to wrap it with electrical tape, not a huge deal though. I would recommend this winch for any application in its load range, it is made in China as it seems all these smaller units are, but this one is well refined all the way around, especially for what it costs.
