Installed on 2016 4Runner SR5
I just got this part about 5 days days ago and it took about a week to get here (California). Upon opening the box everything was packaged very nicely and nothing was damaged also came with full directions on how to install it. I just got it installed a day and a half ago through my local Toyota Dealer which cost me about 125 dollars in labor and took an hour and a half. Upon leaving the dealer I could defiantly tell a difference in sound. When idling it's very quiet as if the stock intake was still on which is good. As you accelerate you can here a whistling sound which I thought was pretty cool and as you get into higher RPM's that's when you hear the power and it gets a significant amount louder. When I put the pedal to the floor you can definatly feel the pull so I do feel like it added a little bit of horse power. I haven't had it on long enough to tell you how it's effected my MPG but the intake does make you want to floor it all the time because of how loud it is compared to the stock intake. I gave this part 5 stars because so far it does what it says it supposed to do, came packaged very nicely, and was installed with no problems. Another thing to keep in mind is that this is a verified Toyota part so if you have any type of warranty on your truck still and something goes wrong with the engine Toyota can't come back and blame it on the after market part like if you were to install a K&N or any other type of cold air intake. Hope this review was helpful!

Fits 2020 Toyota 4Runner TRD Off-Road Premium
Overall one of the highest cost investments for an upgraded CAI system, produces acceptable results. Do not expect this upgrade to wow the pants off you. My main motivation for this specific CAI upgrade was the TRD designed product that draws air from outside the hot engine compartment. K&N’s models failed to draw from outside the engine compartment and simply utilized a questionable “heat shield” around the top of the filter. This model a 100% OEM designed upgrade that looks sharpe, designed for reliability, and 100% fit guarantee - when installed as described. K&N did not offer filament of these standards, as a result the engine cover has to be “whittled down” in order for it to correctly seat after product installation. No noticeable mileage increases, but no one purchases a CAI system upgrade for that. Increased engine prowess and rumble, but nothing obnoxious. I would say in the realm of 10 - 13 hp increase based only on personal opinion - I did not dyno test pre & post. Take that for what it’s worth.Added this unit with a throttle body spacer, Jet Performance MAF sensor, and Pedal Commander unit to complete my engine performance upgrade on my 2020 Toyota 4Runner TRD Off-Road Premium.

Looks great, perfect fitment, increased throttle response
The stock throttle response on the 4Runner is somewhat lacking, and after installing this it's a bit noticeably snappier, really nice. Additionally, you can hear the engine a little more, again, nice perk. MPG has increased by 1 MPG or so, nothing to right home about, but again, a nice benefit. Also looks really sharp in the engine bay.Happy with my purchase. Install took a little under 2 hours with my buddy in the parking lot. Instructions were very easy and straightforward to follow.

Glad it fits my 2016!
Fit my 2016 4Runner Trail Edition no problem. Just one step in the instructions I had to skip for D2 installing the two tree mounts on top of the passenger side valve cover since mine did not have the two M8 bolt holes. Otherwise, no problems at all. Install took 4 1/2 hours. I have no experience working on vehicles and was able to figure everything out. Just takes a lot of time and patience, and having all the right tools. Make sure you have a roll of electrical tape for the MAF wires. Also, I had to obtain a CARB label from my local Toyota dealer. It cost $5. Initially they gave me a tough time saying I could not get the label since the part was not made for my vehicle year. Luckily I was able to obtain the label. They refused to install the intake for me stating it was only for 2010-2012. The instructions say for 2010 and on. When I started up after the install, it immediately stalled. But on second start attempt no problems and no issues.

Vroooommm!
I drive a 2014 4Runner Limited. I read up on this cold air intake, and thought I would give it a try. I am not a “car guy” by any stretch of the imagination. What I can tell you is this: I felt a difference. I believe it will give you a small amount of horsepower, a small boost to mileage efficiency, and a cleaner sounding engine.Again, I am not a car guy, but there was a noticeable difference after I installed this.May be a little bit expensive, but I went ahead with the purchase, and I am glad that I did.Hope this review helps.

Awesome!!
The media could not be loaded. So after a lot of research I ordered this CAÍ for my 2018 4Runner. Although Toyota and Amazon doesn’t list this unit as compatible it worked perfect. Straight out process to install, after removing the stock intake, followed the provided insrructions to prepare the MAF sensor and route the cables, installed all the parts and everything worked without any issues. Sounds really well (together with a Magnaflow exhaust and a Pedal Commander unit) and you can really feel the engine every time you press the gas. I will most definitely recommend!! Also it’s original Toyota so that gave me extra confidence over the K&N or other options out there (nothing against those I like them also).

I added a cai with K&n cone filter on my last 4runner that was easily serviced this may be a bit more difficult
Installed on a 2013 4Runner tp, everything required was in the box along with instructions(-1/2 star because they were useless). I added a cai with K&n cone filter on my last 4runner that was easily serviced this may be a bit more difficult. Overall good fit and in combo with the a borla cat back has gotten 2+mpg vs stock.

Sounds better
Easy to install, looks and sounds nice. I haven’t noticed a difference in mileage. Having a Toyota part makes me feel a bit better about the modification, it just makes the whole thing look cleaner and not tacky like some other brands.
