I bought these for my buffet cabinet to cover my small appliances and canning jars, etc.These worked excellent for what I needed. I only needed 2 so I guess I have a back up one.The insides of my shelves were 12" so these slid right in without even having to extend them at all and they are good and tight against the shelves and not flimsy at all. They are holding their tension excellent.They match my black curtains and they hang the curtains just a I like them. No issues. I also have a set similar to these in my master bath, I have some 14" wide stain glass window that I curtain up in the summer to help block out heat in the day and light at night. These are handy little tension rods. I can think of multiple uses besides just hanging a curtain.They do extend out to 21", but for stability purposes I don't recommend past 18" as it gets a bit wobbly from there.They do have little rubber stoppers on them so n worries about scratching anything and the rubber will keep it stable as long a your not putting extensive weight on them.They're great. Absolutely Recommend for little windows or shelves to cover things up.

I find this 3-pack of tension rods to be a great value. I'm personally not using them in a cupboard shelf capacity, but I don't see why they wouldn't work well there if installed properly. For me, I've got some very tall and thing windows and rather than install a curtain rod, I thought I'd give these a try. Thus far, they're working out really well. It does take a little bit of strength to tighten them when they are pressing against the sides, but my trick is to angle them slightly when extending and then to pull them flush and parallel for a tighter fit. They are the perfect size for the space.I did this in one window and it is holding up a substantial Rivet curtain with no problems (photos). It can even handle some tugging on said curtain without falling out of the window. It may take some fine-tuning, but these rods are certainly up to the task of supporting weight. They are convenient and can be used without drilling into the wall or needing other installation -- something I appreciate. Added these to the front of a shelf unit to hold items in. Works great! They are affordable & easy to install.

You can put these little guys anywhere, organize dishes, clothing, books, whatever nice and neat always available

As hard as it is for some of the cabinet doors to open in my 5th wheel, somehow with the right wrong conditions, they will fly open spilling breakable things out only to make you scratch your head as to what happened... In my case, before having these, we had 4 brand new coffee cups in a holder randomly fall out of the kitchen cabinet on the way home from our last destination. The cabinet door was shut so we could only imagine what probably happened while we picked up pieces of the 3 out of 4 cups that were broken.I managed to get these right before our next trip and nothing decided to go for a joy ride. Long story short, if you value what you got in your trailer cabinets, buy these as a form of insurance so they will be there in 1 piece the next time you open up your cabinets from your next road trip.

Not as sturdy as I hoped. Yes, they adjust their length and twist to tighten. The movement of our trailer in transit seems to jiggle them loose. I’m continuing to look for a spot they might work.

I've used similar rods for hanging lightweight curtains/sheers and have had great success with them. They are sturdy and none have broken over time. When I was staying at a house for an extended period that had broken locks on the windows and I was sleeping on the ground floor :-) - I decided these would be ideal for a bit of security. They worked perfectly - very sturdy and impossible to open the window. :-)

I love these tension rods for curtains. We use them for curtains to cover the doors and sides in our dogs crates. It looks great and works well, we no longer need to cover it with a blanket.
