Great 1A Power Supply
Great 1A power supply for an access control door. If you're not using fire release (FACP), be sure to put the 2.2k resistor in between the FACP terminals and the indicator light on the face of the enclosure will work properly. This enclosure will take (2) 4 or 5 Ah backup batteries, but it's a tight fit. Also, it does not come with jumper wires to put backup batteries in series for 24VDC or parallel for 12VDC. Make sure to grab wires with terminal fasteners when you buy your batteries.

Questionable description
The description states, Accommodates up to two (2) 12VDC/7AH batteries." However, this is not the case. The data sheet from Altronix states, "One (1) 12VDC/7AH or two (2) 12VDC/4AH" batteries.The case needed modifying to get the lock to work. Either the hole was stamped wrong, the arm of the lock was too short, or, and most likely, the body of the case was not bent property to create the catch needed.While the product seems perfectly functional, the fact that I now have an extra battery that will likely go bad long before it is ever needed is a waste of money.

it works great for the system I built, the box is a little small for a 24V like I needed so I had to mount the batteries externally from the box.

I think a clear representation of what you are selling would be a better plan.
If you look at this picture of the item, it shows that it comes with a battery. However it does not say in the details if it does or not. It also says that the item weight is 6 lbs & the shipping weight is 1 pound. I had hurriedly purchased this item by looking at the picture thinking it came with the battery. It DOES NOT COME WITH A BATTERY!!!! I think a clear representation of what you are selling would be a better plan.
