Great product!! I was having a huge squirrel problem. I even bought squirrel proof bird feeders and that didnt even work. As soon as I filled my feeders with this bird seed, the squirrels were gone. I haven't seen them for days now. They wont even go near the feeders. The birds, on the other hand, enjoy this seed so much!!! GREAT BUY!!!

This stuff is a great squirrel deterrent, but surprisingly does not deter small field mice (go figure).I would have thought that the capsaicin would deter ALL mammals. If somebody knows a reason, please tell me.The other minor problem is that this stuff attracts ants like crazy....so keep it away from tham.Overall, it's good stuff and I bought it several times.

Squirrels didn’t like it. Neither did the birds. Everyone kept a very wide berth. Disappointed that I bought a large bag of this very expensive seed. if you want to try this get a small bag first. Putting spikes on the pole and a different brand of seed in the feeder .

keeps the squirrels away..birds seem oblivious to the heat..

I like the product but to expensive for me by the time I pay shipping also.

This is, without question, the best birdseed I have ever used in 35 years of feeding wild birds. In the last two years, had a problem with rats (to my horror!) and though my feeder spins off squirrels, they were taking over my yard and were destroying my garden. I thought I'd have to give up feeding the birds because I could no long tolerate the rodents it attracted -- and I did for a while, but seeing so little life in my garden depressed me and I wanted to continue to support wild bird life that is under duress from habitat loss and global warming. So...I tried Wild Delight Sizzle and Seed as a last attempt and with very low expectations. To my joy and astonishment, it worked! Only one squirrel appeared to have a palate for the spicy stuff and hung around all winter. But he or she was the last hold-out. Otherwise, the rodents have abandoned my yard. Not only that, this seed attracts a myriad of bird species. Red-bellied and Hairy woodpeckers, gold finches, cardinals and bluejays, and for the. first time ever bluebirds! I couldn't believe my eyes! So don't hesitate. This seed is amazing!

Three stars because it was a good delivery and definitely keeps the squirrels away - but unfortunately my regular birds do not like it and they are staying away as well.
