Four years and works great.
I bought this a few years ago. I own a farm equipment dealership and repair facility. We use this tool to pull 80W 140WT oil from rotary cutter gearboxes. The suction hose will need to be replaced after a couple years because it gets stiff from the chemical re action. Over all it a great product and tool for your shop.

Remarkable time and effort saver
This is the best money we have spent in a long time. We do our own oil changes, and the pump eliminated the need to crawl under the trucks. The three hoses for different fluids and the suction adapter are well made. A holder is provided in the top to organize all four. The pump is strong and scavenged oil from the bottom of the oil pan effectively. The reservoir is graduated to let you check oil consumption and to indicate when the oil pan should be empty. The only deficiency is that there are essentially no instructions. If you're mechanical you'll figure it out, but if not, Professor Google can help.

Great for small engine maintenance and more.
I bought this item a few years ago to change the oil in my self propelled lawn mower that you need to remove a bunch of stuff underneath the mower to get to the drain plug. This thing sucked the crank case dry in just a few of seconds, and only a few pumps on the built in suction pump. I now use this for all of my instead of gas powered lawn equipment, and other people's equipment that I repair. Quicker and easier than trying to prop them up and drain the oil the conventional way.The only negative that I've seen is the strong smell of the plastic this item has. I saw that another reviewer had commented on that when I was looking at it, but figured that it was going to live in the garage anyway. It takes a long time for the smell to diminish. Mine is pretty good now. I bought mine in 2019, and I see that the price now is about twice what I paid for mine. It does work very well, and I haven't even needed to hook an air hose up to it yet. The hand pump has worked fine for me.

Nice product, everything is sturdy/well built
I received this Lumax LX-1314 fluid extractor, and I'm definitely impressed! It was a heavier item than I'd anticipated, and it seems to be heavy duty plastic. All of the tubing attachments seem to be VERY strong but properly flexible (high quality, metal reinforced). This will serve me very well in what may amount to be a transmission swap in the near future (while donating parts from one to the other). Given I have a friend who has difficulty changing his oil physically, but who also lives in a park where he cannot "work" on his car outside of the most basic of maintenance, this will definitely get a lot of use outside of my own home!I've not used this pump for fluid extraction as an intended purpose, but I did do a simple pneumatic test with the manual/hand pump and this worked and everything flowed with ease. The pump seems to have a simple interior design, to the degree that it seems largely repairable if something does "break" after a warranty period. I will be trying it out on a transmission (or two...) this weekend! But, so far, so good!

Great, but...
Let me start by saying this is highly recommended. It turns oil changes into a breeze - on most cars. Two governing factors - length of dipstick tube and oil filter position.I helped my neighbor and found it wouldn't work on a Honda CRV as the suction tubes were not long enough - which was a surprise. His Dodge truck - no where near long enough - another fail.Happily it works on my RS7, V8 S5 and S2000 - the only issue being the oil filter position on the RS7 meant I still had to lift it and remove windage panels - which means there is little benefit. If you can get to your oil filter from above and your dipstick isn't too long - this is such a time and effort saver.(Yes, it turns out you can replace the oil filter in an S2000 AP1 from above!)Longer tubes would be an easy and huge improvement to this product - the large capacity is great for large engines. Then I'd give it 5 *!

Best tool ever
I was kind of skeptical in purchasing this but after the reviews I read I went ahead and purchased it. Let me tell you this is the best thing ever I have a 2017 Toyota Tundra and it holds 8 quarts of oil it pulled every single bit of oil out I even pulled the drain plug after and it was dry and it only took maybe 5 minutes It actually pulled so hard with the air compressor hooked to it that it started to pull the sides of the container in and it is not no cheap plastic so if you use a compressor watch it very close

It's a solid investment that will save you money!
I'm very happy I purchased this. It's not the cheapest one but this one is good. It does the job. Make sure your engine oil is warm first before you use this tool to extract the oil. When the product arrived, the box was a little damaged but the actual product was totally fine. The cool thing about this particular extractor is if you have an air compressor you don't have to manually pump, you can use the adapter and connect your air hose and use it that way. Make sure you read the instructions on PSI settings if you are going to use the compressor. I personally use the manually pump. With the manual pump, it literally takes about 10 - 15 minutes to pump out all of the oil. I drive a lexus RX, 5 quarts out in 15 minutes.
