NECA Pathfinder Deep Cuts Unpainted Miniatures: Wave 1: Unicorn

I was able to paint this with metallic acrylics. It turned out great and now has a place next to all my other unicorns.

I tried to get my Unicorn from other places but this was the best price and fastest shipping I could find. My Unicorn was just as described and now looks amazing all painted.He has gone on many adventures and has been a faithful steed. So lucky to have Binky by my side!

Horn was straight, flash was minimal & easy to remove, good paint adhesion (used apple barrel acrylic) Shipping was fast with zero issues. Great purchase.

So I didn't do enough research and didn't realize it would be plastic so I was a little surprised when I got it in the mail. I'm pretty happy with it though. The tip of the horn was flimsy so I broke it off. The rest of the horn is pretty sturdy though. Because it's plastic I had a little difficult time painting it. The paint didn't want to stay on but maybe I'm using the wrong paints. Other than that good price and came early :)

This example is exactly what I look for. Something interesting that isn't like my run of the mill unicorn collectors item.

Fun to paint. Be careful of the horn. It is very delicate

Typical pathfinder mini, while it claims paintable out of the package. I tires and notice issue right away. I quickly removed the paint. And had to give the model a scrubbing with a old toothbrush to remove old release agent.Horn was bent, but using hot then calls water was reset. Product was more then normal msrp price.After washing, and reprinting the mini it easly took paint.I suggest on all wizkids mini you wash with dawn and scrub then reprise them.

I got twp so my wife and I can each paint one. Our daughter will choose who did the best job in an effort to win her affections.
