Prevue Pet Products 34512 Dometop Bird Cage, Small, Chalk White

I was really impressed with this bird cage. It came well packaged, was easy to assemble, and is very sturdy. I like the fact that the seed guards can be removed and the mounts for which are very discrete, thus no eye sores. I've seen comparable cages selling at local pet shops for nearly double, and they often don't have the same high-quality accessories and features. Another plus, this cage came with a bottle of matching touch up paint, which is always a plus for anything metal and painted. This cage is truly a tremendous value and looks great to boot.

I purchased this because I have moved to a smaller home and the old cage was really just too large for the new space. This cage is actually very similar to Mango’s old one, about a foot decreased in width and a foot decreased in depth, and shorter by a foot as well. As soon as I started putting the pieces together Mango got excited and started running around near the parts and making lots of noise. She was apparently aware that this was a cage which to her is a home, her “safe” place when she is inside. She does spend a lot of time outside the cage and hasn’t had a cage since we moved. I could tell that she was excited about this and as soon as I got the sides together she tried to climb up the side and get in. The cage was not difficult to figure out the assembly though it wasn’t easy to get all the pieces aligned at the same time before tightening the screws. It really wasn’t harder than any other cage I’ve assembled though. This is heavy, but not as heavy as her old cage which is convenient. The wheels are of exceptionally high quality, as is the cage itself. It comes with only one perch which I don’t like as a bird really needs several in different sizes in order to properly exercise her feet. Also the perch doesn’t fit tightly and keeps falling down so it is basically useless. So I will need to spend more money for useable perches. The food bowls fit on doors which is always good and the entry door is a nice size. I wish that it had a second entry door at the top like her old cage. This has a seed catcher skirt which can be removed if desired and a nice food catch tray at the bottom. It was missing some screws but the instructions have a number and email address for issues like this and I have requested more screws. I have used a lot of different bird cages and I do really like this one, just wish that it came with at least one useable perch.

My Parrotlet loves this cage and I love how clean it keeps his area. It was easy to assemble and has a locking latch on the bottom cage separator so the bird cannot escape if it accidentally moves. The tray doors are very secure and easily accessible.

A perfect Dome top cage for small birds. Assembly was easy, just remember to always follow the directions. The directions were clear and easy to understand. My two bird budgies are pretty happy with this new cage not only that it’s super easy to clean now because of the slide out tray. It moves around much easier than the old cage we had for the budgies.Cage came to my doorstep in one whole box, everything was neat maybe a few dinks in the paint but nothing too terrible, in fact the cage came with a bottle of paint with a small paintbrush so you can use that to touch up the marks (The bottle itself is hidden inside a Styrofoam container so remember to look through the packaging so you don’t throw it out by accident, it’s a small part). Cage looks lovely and I am happy with this purchase.

Thought it might be a better quality... but it's very cheaply made.It's ok... but the paint is bad, some areas not even covered... if you don't care that it's not a nice looking cage it won't bother you... or if you're just using it as a sleep cage

It’s a very nice beautiful cage I got the dome top in white but my problem is after a week I want to know how my conure escaped and I can’t figure out how. Does anyone know ?

This brand is the only brand i use for my birds. I have 7 cats, and all of them want to eat my little colorful birds. But with this cage, they can't jump up on it and tip it over. My birds cannot easily open the doors and escape. It has double locks on the front, which is nice. The bars are sturdy and don't bend easy.My only issue is the side doors where the food bowls can be accessed. The doors are pretty easy to open there, from the inside or out. My solution to that was to zip tie those shut entirely, because nobody wants to come home and find out the hard way that your bird escaped.In terms of building the cage, it's a little janky. Some cages I've gotten has had extra metal on the inside like metal bumps that I've had to chizzle down so pieces would fit properly. But the final result is worth any grievances during building.I give this cage 5 stars, because it's still the best cage on the market for the birds safety. Compared to most cages with just sliding doors and flappy openings, these cages are worth every penny for my companions to be happy and safe.

The cage is very nice, however, the perch's end slats that attach to the sides of the cage are too large and the perch is loose and not stable. I will need to buy an appropriate perch.
