Notes about use
This is a nice little guide -- worth its cost, but there's some stuff I wanna communicate about it for you guys tackling re-grouting.Best used with 2 hands and safety glasses (ask me how I know) because it can still jump out of the grout line if your grip isn't confident. Quite handy for getting through grout. The included bit isn't so great -- it works, but it breaks easily and replacements are $17. Jeez. Here's the important part. You can find a 10 pack of 1/16 rotary tool grout bits on here for ~50, and you want that one ahead of time. BUT they aren't as long as the dremel bits. That's how they make their price mark-up. This guide here is biased to run with extra long shaft bits. If you can find a knock-off that might work with non-dremel bits, consider it strongly. That said, my shorter bits do still work - I just had to adjust how deep in the chuck it sat, and how i screwed this guide on. Mind you, you need to rout a channel in the grout that's 2/3 the thickness of the tile at minimum to give your new grout a secure, manufacturer advised surface to grip onto. You can do the job without this guide, and it's not so much worse, really. but yeah, this one is made nice, does its job, makes stuff easier/faster. Just the bits are a total rip-off and the extra length trick to sell them is offensive.I'll post up picks of my project: a patch, where I used this bit to clear out thinset and leave-in spacers because we had holes in our floor beneath our nasty old vanity. Had to do drypack/mudbed, lay tile, fix the nasty job I did to make it marginally acceptable, then clear grout lines of my rough, amateur work.

Word like a charm
This handy tool worked great. It took a bad job and made it simple. I had to replace some tile floor grout, which is a pain and many hour. Using the 1/16 bit I was able to remove the grout with no issues. Dremel if you are listening think about adding a LED. You would have a real winner.

Works great
As a novice to regrouting I was worried about taking on this DIY project. Thanks to this gadget it was a breeze. Would definitely recommend to everyone.

great bit. guide didn't work
I have very narrow grout spaces so the 1/16" bit that comes with this item worked well to remove grout. I was not able to use the black guide because it has bumps intended to help guide you along the grout line. It would only work if your lines were long continuous lines. offset tiles or diamonds, or anything other than perfect long lines can't use the fixture. the grooves hit the next tile long before the bit reaches the junction. So 5 starts for the bit and 2 starts for the fixture.

I LOVE my Dremel
And this accessory was exactly what I needed. I have a large walk-in tile and grout shower in my basement. The shower has a 20" floor ledge you step over to get in and out of the shower and the grout on that ledge had cracked. I bought this attachment and two of the 1/8" grout bits because the 1/16" bit that comes in this kit was too tiny.Having the plastic guide on my Dremel (3000) helped a lot. I love that you can set the depth of the cut too. I started shallow and worked my way down and made it through all the grout without breaking the bit .. nice! There was a small 2" section I had to free-hand because of a wall in the way and the Dremel was easy to control through the cut and that bit was cutting through butter! I absolutely love this accessory and will be happy I have it should I ever need to work on that shower again. This is a great accessory, so if you're trying to decide whether or not to get it, just do it! You'll be happy you did. It makes a difficult, time consuming job easy and fast.

Good job
It does a good job removing grout. It’s relatively fast. The guides keep you in the groove in the tile if you’re attentive. It comes with a bit. Don’t buy one separately. It very dusty and loud. Wear an n95 mask and protect your eyes and ears, too.

Good for small jobs only
Works great, but bit breaks easily. If you're doing an entire shower, I'd use a larger tool.. Next time I'd probably buy the multi tool or something larger. By the time I spent $40 on bits and $25 for the attachment, I could have had a larger tool that went much faster. But in the end, my shower is complete.
