Works as described!
Works as described. Had upgraded my well pump and would start to run the well dry after about 30min. Installed this in about 10min, followed the instructions to take a “snapshot” of the pump, and then ran it until it started sucking air and it shut the pump off allowing the well to recover.

Works great
Replaced a QD that stopped working after 20 years. Hopefully this will last as long or longer. My well is only 60' with a a 1/2hp Gould pump.

Shocking!
The ONLY thing that the previous owner had added to the property was forward-thinking was the Franklin Electric pump controller. That means that it can readily accommodate a Pumptec QD to spare the well-pump we had replaced a year ago. Installation of the QD is simplistic and straight forward. The most difficult part was loosening a capacitor clamp to ensure it went smoothly into place. Then, move three wires--clearly marked and easily done by hand without any tools--and put the cover back on the controller. Before, we'd observed that the pump in our low-yield well was regularly struggling to keep up. The combination of load sensor and a timed cutout has allowed our well sufficient time to recover even in this persistent exceptional drought.
